Its name is Gur-e Amir. The great commander and the legendary lion of history, Amir Timur, rests here. Contrary to popular belief, his tomb is not the large one but the smaller, black one. Around him, his sons and close relatives are also buried. The interior and exterior of the mausoleum are like a separate paradise. It’s truly a miraculous place. This is a must-see masterpiece. I highly recommend it.

Величественная усыпальница Тамерлана. Очень атмосферное место: сочетание огромных голубых куполов, строгих минаретов и богатого декора создаёт настоящую восточную сказку. Внутри, благоговейная тишина и красивейшее резное надгробие. Народу много, мы были экскурсией и пришлось ждать, когда выйдет часть людей.
