Lovely, but I asked for an English tour guide as excursions were advertised at 150,000. The men at the front told me there weren't any, only to follow me in and then offer me a tour for cash payment. I am not interested in being duped by informal tour guides.

The mausoleum staff and workers are rude and are only interested in milking tourists for money. Especially, the guy in white cap right at the entrance, he harassed us by asking where you come from. The whole experince was ruined by rude staff who want to charge tourists even for taking photos. A complete nonsense. Uzbekistan Tourism Authorities as well as Samarkand Tourism committee shall hire competent and polite people to work at such an important and symbolic place.

The Gur Emir Mausoleum is incredibly beautiful. The blue dome can be seen from afar, and inside everything is striking with rich decoration with gold and carvings. It's a very atmospheric place, and you can feel the spirit of history. The great Tamerlane rests here, which is truly admirable. Even if you don't like history, it's impossible to take your eyes off this architecture. It is better to choose the time to visit in the late afternoon, there are a lot of tourists during the day. They are brought by buses, an endless stream.

the mausoleum is perhaps the most famous historical figure: Amir Timur, aka Tamerlane, the greatest military commander, politician of his time, a lot has been written about Tamerlane's empire and his campaigns, the place is very beautiful, the sarcophagus inside, the entrance is paid, there are always a lot of multilingual visitors, the #1 tour site in the guidebooks, next to Tamerlane sarcophagi of relatives and late the Timurid dynasty (scientists, politicians, state leaders), a lot of local tour guides offering a variety of excursions, expensive :)), in addition, the monument to Amir Timur on the avenue, right behind the park with bus parking.

It is a very beautiful mausoleum both inside and out. Admission is 75k per person, group tour is paid separately. But it's better to take a personal guide, they are standing right in the courtyard and will probably offer a guided tour themselves. They told us everything very professionally and in detail. They are not allowed to go to the tomb itself, you can only go to the upper part.

The mausoleum is one of the main tourist sites, and a lot of people visit it during the day, but we decided to see it at the end of the evening walk (after 23), because it has excellent lighting. There was no hope of getting inside at that time, the ticket office was already closed, but the guard offered to inspect it right now for the price of a regular ticket. I don't know if this is a legitimate option, but the offer turned out to be tempting. An impressive place!

An incredible place! We visited the Gur-Emir mausoleum in Samarkand and were absolutely delighted! This is not just a historical monument, but a real gem of Timurid architecture. The majestic blue dome, elegant mosaic decoration and calm atmosphere create a feeling as if you are transported to the era of the great Amir Temur. An absolutely must-visit place for anyone who loves history and culture. One of the most beautiful and impressive monuments in Central Asia!

A very beautiful place with a centuries-old aura. Beautiful architecture of Islamic architecture. Entrance to the territory is paid, there is a terminal where you can exchange currency, dollars, for local currency, sums. There are hotels nearby, and there is a place where you can park your car. A large number of places where you can eat delicious and not expensive.

The place is beyond praise! Beauty, grandeur, eternity. You will never believe that these are works by modern masters - everything has been restored according to descriptions, drawings and drawings. When you find out, you are filled with pride for the masters of our contemporaries. If possible, take a walk there in the early morning, while there is no influx of tourists. Immerse yourself in antiquity, as in a real time machine.

The view is beautiful, very suitable for those who love and appreciate ancient architecture, the prices are reasonable, especially for residents, for non-residents the price is higher, keep this in mind There is almost no queue at the ticket office, but there are many tourists on the territory, I advise you to use the services of a guide or at least take an audio guide, since without a guide it makes no sense to consider, in general, Samarkand has very professional historical guides They tell you in such a way that you visualize that you yourself are in the era of those times

Beauty and that's all!!! In terms of the richness of decoration, perhaps the first place in Uzbekistan! Here you will find onyx panels, jade columns, and papier-mache in all kinds, of course, majolica., But the most important thing is History, because first of all it is Tamerlane's grave!

The ensemble is one of the top must-see places. The tomb is very beautiful. It is better to go with a guide who will tell you the details. More: there are 2 visits for 1 ticket. We split up and took turns going out

A wonderful place, one of the three main tourist attractions of Samarkand after Registan Square and Shahi Zinda necropolis. The tomb of the great commander of the Middle Ages, who reached Ryazan in the North and Delhi in the South, as well as Ankara and Damascus in the East. I recommend watching it at night more.

The real pearl of Samarkand! Gur Emir is not just an architectural monument, but a place with an amazing atmosphere and energy. The great commander Tamerlane rests here, and a sense of grandeur can be felt in literally every element: from the imposing dome to the finest patterns on the walls. I advise you to come in the morning — there are fewer tourists and the light falls especially beautifully on the turquoise domes. It's very quiet inside, I want to linger, just stand and listen to the silence. Be sure to take a guided tour or read about the history in advance — then the impressions will be even stronger. This place should definitely be included in the route around Samarkand. If you are interested in history or just love beautiful and atmospheric locations, you are welcome here!

A touch of history. Take a guide, it's cheap and much more informative than you'll see for yourself. We paid and didn't regret it for a second + he also took pictures of us wherever they asked.

It is a modest mausoleum on the outside, but shocking in luxury on the inside. Guri Amir is the tomb of the greatest conqueror Amir Temur. It is here, under a huge ribbed turquoise dome, that the ashes of the "Iron Limper" rest. Come to see the gold paintings, marble tombstones and hear the legend of the curse associated with the opening of the grave.

We visited this place by chance while walking in the park in the evening, as we did not know that it was open until 22h. In the evening, beautiful lighting, free benches in the fresh air, there were only 5-7 people on the territory. No crowds of tourists, which is exactly what you need for such places to fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere. Admission is 150,000 for two adults. There is a toilet on the side of the building where the ticket office is located.

A themed place, beautiful, restrained, interesting. It is better to have a guide or at least an online tour, the only way to understand why, why and how everything was built and how it was used. I didn't really like that the locals were selling a large number of Chinese products, passing them off as local handmade products and with the appropriate value, and of course the locals were "changing" those running up with bundles of money and obsessive attempts to make an exchange at a less favorable rate for you.

The Gur Emir Mausoleum is an outstanding monument of medieval architecture in Central Asia. The scale and detail are amazing: a 15-meter-high dome, luxurious turquoise mosaics, and marble carvings. The historical significance (Tamerlane is buried here) complements the aesthetic admiration. Definitely worth a look.
