The Baku TV Tower (310 m) is the tallest building in Azerbaijan and the 41st tallest television tower in the world. Designed on the basis of a resolution of the Council of Ministers of the USSR and commissioned by the Ministry of Communications of the Azerbaijan SSR by the State Design Institute of the Ministry of Communications of the USSR. Construction began in 1979. Completed in 1996. after a break in 1985-1993. In 2008, renovation work was carried out on the TV tower, and a revolving restaurant with a view of the city was opened at a height of 175 meters (27th floor).

A beautiful place that can be seen from almost anywhere in Baku. It beckons me to go to its foot, which I did one spring morning. It was not possible to approach the foot directly, the territory is guarded. Be careful, you can't take pictures either. In general, the tower is like a tower, nothing special. But next to it there are two operating oil pumps and the mountain offers a magnificent view of the city. That's why it's worth going up to the tower.
