The pilaf is amazing, the serving is pleasantly pleasing, the service is fast, BUT ONE THING IS
The establishment has a front entrance where expensive cars stop, "respectable" people come out, the doors helpfully open, but we can't go there (everything is occupied, go down to the basement)
There are also two halls in the basement, both are half-empty, but we are also not allowed to enter one of the halls and only a hall with dining tables, running staff and a kitchen behind a screen is free.
While we were having lunch, some of the tourists just left, some of them, after long arguments, beat out a better place for themselves in the hall.
Apparently the place has earned itself a rating and a name, and then (read above)))....

The most delicious pilaf of Uzbekistan in Samarkand. And the most delicious pilaf of Samarkand is in the Center of pilaf. A very cool approach. The client came, they bring him a choice of several vegetable salads, they immediately bring pilaf and green tea (if you don't want green, they will bring black tea). Everything is perfect for me, just like I wanted it to be. The interior is pleasant, the guys speak different languages. Come. Bon appetit 😋

A place for tourists... Pilaf is inexpensive. Well, a lot of people. There are 4 types of pilaf to choose from, you can pay for it at the checkout, pick it up from the cauldron yourself and go look for a free table. Or you can first choose a table and order pilaf, salad, flatbread, tea from the waiter. But keep in mind that you will pay in addition to the cost of pilaf, for the service. The pilaf is normal, but it did not cause delight.

Great place: there is no special menu, but they immediately offer several small dishes to choose from (salad, soaked onions, ayran, etc.) to pass the waiting time for pilaf. Pilaf is wonderful! The tortillas are fresh. Good air conditioning of the visit.

We travel around Uzbekistan with children during the autumn holidays. Arriving in Samarkand from Tashkent, and on the recommendation of travelers and not only, we went to the Pilaf Center. We did not manage to visit a similar one in Tashkent for various reasons. Everything is great! Service and, of course, pilaf, which probably has no equal in the whole world. You'll lick your fingers! And you'll swallow your tongue! Personally, my expectations were met. I was in Uzbekistan about forty years ago and I remember tea houses, tandoori on the street, samsa... It's a pity that our youngest child, accustomed to another kitchen, refused pilaf, he would have oatmeal porridge :)))) All the other members of the family were delighted. Thank you very much!

It is chic, spacious and there are always a lot of tourists. Well done, I recommend guests and tourists who want to come to our ancient city of Samarkand.

As for me, the best pilaf in Samarkand 😋
The prices are not above average, the portions are large. In the photo there is 1 portion of pilaf - we had enough for two of it and vegetables just for the eyes.
The feed takes about 15 minutes.
There are 3 halls in total: one large one on the ground floor and 2 more downstairs (right and left).
Bank cards, including China Union Pay, are accepted for payment
There are a lot of people, but they find places.
First, they bring a tray with salads, vegetables and fermented dairy products - you take what you need from it - this will then be taken into account in the order. And a flatbread with tea. Then 10 minutes later - pilaf. It is fragrant, the rice is not overcooked, and the meat melts in your mouth. There are also quail testicles. Well, it's very tasty!
It is better to come before 12 in the morning. At one o'clock in the afternoon, the pilaf may already be over.
I definitely recommend it!

It turned out to be interesting! Note to tourists: pilaf in decent places in Uzbekistan is made from 11.00 to 13.00 (and the pilaf Center is no exception), pilaf is eaten at this time.
We did not know this, we walked to them for a very long time - we walked along the streets. We arrived at about 15.00 - on the door there is a sign "Pilaf is over!"…. That's it, it means they close the doors and don't work.
The heat, we're tired, hungry,…
The host placed us in a cool room, offered us water, helped with WI-FI so that we could order a taxi to another restaurant, Small things, and it is very pleasant - it shows the attitude towards the guests.

A very famous place in Samarkand. It works until 15 o'clock , in the pilaf season it usually ends by 13 o'clock . we were on November 6th, it was cloudy and light rain. We arrived at 13 , the 1st hall was full , but we found a table for two. We took 2 pilaf salads, 1 serving with beef (it is by their standards for 2 of them, according to ours for 3.5 people). Very tasty pilaf. We ate both in Tashkent and in Bukhara and here. I think this one is the best! I recommend you to visit. In season, call a table, book in advance!

Our acquaintance with Uzbekistan began in Samarkand. At that time, we still did not understand that Samarkand has the best pilaf, whether it is a market or a pilaf center. In Bukhara, we did not appreciate the pilaf, we did not like it, there is nothing to say about Khiva: there is no normal pilaf there. Specifically for this institution, we can say that the pilaf is delicious, the service is good, despite the fact that groups of tourists often come

I'm not a big fan of pilaf, but the pilaf here is excellent. A variety of additives are offered for pilaf. You need to arrive before ~12:30-13h. Then there will be seats in the hall on the ground floor and pilaf. After 13h there are no seats in the main hall, and you will be offered to the 1st floor. It's less cozy there).

This place should be named differently, for example: pilaf number 1, which is no longer there. Or the center of the always finished pilaf.
Or to the edge: There is no pilaf #1.
Working and living in Samarkand for more than six months. In 8 attempts (driving by) I never got to show off their wonderful swimmer, who apparently sweeps away the shop windows. But I think not. They do not sweep away. They just do such careless marketing and they are too lazy to cook a normal amount.

Arriving in Samarkand, the owner of the hotel advised to try real pilaf. It turns out that in Uzbekistan it is supposed to be cooked in the morning. Everything is already being eaten before lunch. I came to the cafe around 12 o'clock. There was still pilaf. At the entrance, the waiter met and led to an empty table. They offered a choice of pilaf with lamb or beef. Another waiter came up with a tray with several types of salads and ayran on it. You can choose what you like. I chose pilaf with lamb, salad with radish and tea. It all came out to 52,000 sums. The pilaf is delicious, the portion is large. There are a lot of people in the institution, they come in families and groups. There are also a lot of tourists. But there were no queues. In general, it should be noted that there is pilaf in Samarkand until about one o'clock in the afternoon, then you will not find it anywhere (it is quickly sorted out). The pilaf is delicious, Samarandsky pilaf is prepared here. The portions are not very large ( there is something to compare with :)) but still delicious, high quality!
