The 'M/G Acar' yacht used by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk to navigate the Bosphorus and go to the 'Savarona' yacht was brought to the garden of the Naval Museum Command by sea on July 3, 2017. After about 9 months of work, the boat, which is 27.5 meters tall, 5 meters wide and weighs 65 tons, which is placed on a pedestal, was opened to the public with a ceremony after the completion of the landscaping. Acar Deckhouse was built in Germany between 1936-1937. According to the permission given by the German authorities of the period, it was passed through the Kiel Canal, which was closed to maritime traffic, and brought to Istanbul Dolmabahce Palace within 3 days. After joining the Turkish Navy inventory, it was used by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk for navigation on the Bosphorus and transportation to the Savarona yacht. Later, after Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's transfer to eternity, he served as an Acar authority engine, and after leaving the service, he was attached to the Naval Academy. it underwent repair and restoration in 2000. #acargemisi
