The waiting areas are very spacious and comfortable, you can comfortably accommodate while waiting for departure. I would also like to mention the presence of a variety of shops and pharmacies — everything you need can be found on the spot without having to look for something in the city. The farthest airport. I liked that there are relatively few people here, everything is very fast and efficient. A good business lounge, a good selection of food, tea, coffee, non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, nuts, fruits. Overall, I really liked this airport. What exactly: pleasant and helpful staff, few people, no queues, compact, fast, to / from Marina go quickly (30-40 min) and inexpensive by taxi. You can get there by public transport bus + metro. The bus runs according to the schedule from the stop next to the exit from the airport, and the subway is a minute walk from disembarkation from the bus. The bus schedule can be viewed in Google maps - everything is clear. There are 2 cafes and a small DFree in the departure area. But the delivery to/from the plane is by bus.

The impression is very positive in the departure area: fast, organized, understandable. There is a duty-free store: one large store with perfumes, cosmetics, cigarettes and alcohol, one small, like a pharmacy, and one with souvenirs. Whatever, but it's more than enough for me. There's a Costa cafe on the second floor (I had breakfast here), Mac. Heineken bar is on the first floor. As far as I'm concerned, you won't be lost either, even with the kids. But the arrival area is a bit poor: there are vending machines with coffee and snacks, but personally I just didn't figure out how to get coffee. And the only cafe that is available is the same Costa in the departure area, but it is at the entrance, before check-in, you need to make some way with a suitcase.

A well-equipped airport, convenient to get to. There weren't many people there. It has the best business lounge I've ever seen. The food is of good quality. There was a choice of pilaf, beef, rice, pasta, chicken, green leaves, sliced tomatoes, tuna sandwiches, ham sandwiches, tea, natural coffee, cupcake with dried fruits and chocolate, very tasty))). Al Maktoum Airport left a pleasant impression. Everything is organized clearly: it's easy to find a way out, clear navigation, there was no fuss anywhere — everything is calm and comfortable. It is very convenient that there is always a taxi right at the exit, and if you want to save money, you can easily call a car through Yandex Taxi, it works without problems. A good option for arrivals, especially if you want to avoid the crowds and noise like at other Dubai airports.

Accordingly, there is an exchange point in the airport building, you can safely exchange. A taxi to Dubai (Marina subdistrict) will cost about 120 dirhams. However, it took me 87 minutes to get back. I don't remember exactly why there was such a difference, maybe the travel time is also taken into account and when I arrived there was a small traffic jam on the way to the desired area. There are many toilets in the departure area, but they are all closed. The nearest toilet is in the arrivals area. Everyone rushes there in droves. The underground metro is promised to be built no earlier than 2033. The bus goes to Dubai Trade Center, where the nearest metro station is. It is difficult to wait for a bus to the other two terminals. Not all information services in Al Maktoum are working, and no one provides navigation information. But the waiting rooms are spacious enough, there are a lot of places. The sterile area is generally on the same level: everything you need is there (Duty Free, McDonald's, cafe, pharmacy, shops).

A very comfortable and intuitive airport with free parking for cars- leaving a rented car, you don't think when the owner will pick it up with subsequent billing, of course, the Dutik is too small, and there is nowhere to eat except for the McDuck, but I think this is for now. You will definitely be met by enterprising merchants of apple products with an offer to transport a couple of gadgets to Moscow for a small fee. I usually stop at the Marina and take a taxi to this airport. This time I arrived alone, I decided to try to get there by bus. Number 55 runs quite often and is cheap. NOL cards are sold at a stall on the left in front of the exit from the airport building. You can easily get to the city, although not quickly. There's plenty of room on the bus with a suitcase. I'm usually in no hurry, it doesn't bother me. An airport without too much pathos, a very weak duty free. Hopefully, when dee XB is closed, everything will be fine in al Maktoum. DXB will be closed, we will fly through Amt, either Sharjah or Abu Dhabi airports.
