Level 19 Local Expert

Very authentic unpretentious classic Russian restaurant and bar. The location is very convenient - opposite Mikhaylovskiy Park. Open from 11am until late. There is no English menu, but if you can read a little Russian you will recognize many famous Russian dishes. There is an extensive selection of vodka and other alcohol. Many different kinds served as a tasting set. I did not try, but this option seemed well received by other guests. Décor and ambience has a “Je ne sais quoi” that will be familiar to foreigners who have watched classic Soviet cinema. The food was wholesome and staff were helpful. A very nice "Roadside Picnic" I will be bringing some foreign friends who are fans of Andrei Tarkovsky here for sure. Well worth visiting and highly recommended for foreigners who want a genuine Russian experience.

A great place to try Russian soups, sandwiches and other delicious food. On top, they offer a great selection of homemade liqours. All in a very cosy atmosphere and super friendly service. Highly recommended if you want to experience Russian kitchen and culture.
