The Baiterek is a must see, maybe Astana's equivalent to the Eiffel Tower, London's Big Ben, and New York's Statue of Liberty. It's pretty much mandatory to visit if you're in Astana. Even if there is a line to put your hand in the imprint, you should wait it out and do so.

The downside was that we came in the evening, there was a desire to see the evening city..Unfortunately, there was a long queue, and I had to wait 20 minutes for the elevator.
