Bechin is a place where history is literally at every turn. Just a few kilometers from Milas are the ruins of an ancient city that has survived a series of eras — from antiquity to the Ottoman Empire. It is not for nothing that it is included in the UNESCO list: the spirit of different civilizations that have left their mark is felt here. The fortress itself and the inner city with the remains of walls, madrassas, old mosques, khans and even ruins of Byzantine and Greek architecture are particularly impressive. You walk through these places and imagine how life used to be: markets, prayers, meetings of rulers. Today, Bechin is all about silence, rocks, and stunning views, but that's exactly its strength. It seems to preserve the memory of how times and peoples have changed. If you love the atmosphere of ancient cities, then a walk through Bechin will give you the feeling of time travel.

The whole city. The territory is huge, there are many facilities. Mostly of the Ottoman period. Some have been reconstructed. The castle has been well preserved.

a building belonging to a Turkish tribe built in the 1000s, it was built in Seljuk architecture. There are baths, fountains, inns, madrasas and shrines in it. The castle is closed to visitors inside the walls, due to restoration; but you can visit the others.
