Good afternoon! We were in Baku for the holidays, we accidentally read about the Berezka restaurant of Russian cuisine, and decided to try it. We were pleasantly surprised the place is very interesting. The interior is lovingly selected, the staff is very friendly, the waiting time is 5-7 minutes. I would like to mention the chefs separately, the dishes are prepared with love. The average alcohol price tag for two adults is 90 manats.

🇷🇺 A Russian cuisine restaurant with a beautiful Soviet interior. There are many interesting details in the interior and pleasant retro Russian music. Unfortunately, there were controversial feelings about the quality of the dishes, the dishes were both delicious and not very good. The service is pleasant, but the most repulsive is of course dirty appliances (more precisely, poorly washed with stains, both forks and knives on the table, and not the cleanest serving plates). – 🥔 Draniki with meat (5.80 ₼) – very thick and dense draniki with meat inside, because of the thickness inside they are a little dry, classic draniki are thinner and are not filled with meat, and meat is served side by side. But in general, it's fine. – 🥟 Dumplings with potatoes (7 ₼) – thin dough, delicious filling. Served with sour cream and fried onions. The portion is small, but in addition to other dishes it goes very well. – 🐔 Lula Kebab from chicken in a royal way (11 ₼) – we did not eat this kebab. A huge amount of fat, instead of dry chicken meat, fat turned out, and it does not taste like chicken at all. You might like it if you like very fatty dishes. – 🫛 Pea soup (4.50 ₼) – delicious rich pea soup. Not watery, with high-quality smoked chicken breast pieces. It can be recommended. – 🥫 Borscht "Starorussky" (5.50 ₼) – served with a pie with potatoes, sour cream and mustard. Nothing special, but a pretty average good borscht. – Dumplings with veal royally (9.80 ₼) – we were immediately warned that the dumplings are not classic, with cheese (Dutch), cream and sour cream. Of course, there are more additions to the dumplings in the pot than the dumplings themselves, this can be seen in the photo, but this is also a normal average dish. – Vinaigrette (5 ₼) – the vinaigrette contains very salty cucumbers, which interrupt the whole taste of the salad. – Stuffed eggs (4.50 ₼) – this snack is also included in the list of what we could not eat. Salty cheap red caviar and a huge amount of mayonnaise. It was worth guessing from the price of the snack that the red caviar would not be very good there.
