A place where the strong in spirit have found peace!
And those who survived brought the news about the events that took place.
The guides know their job, all that's missing is work clothes, a themed vest, after all.

The fortress is located away from the noise and the center, there is free Parking.
The territory of the fortress is huge, so it's better to come with a reserve of time.
There are also several roads with different entrances to the memorial. We were very limited in time and, unfortunately, we did not have time to visit the museums and explore the entire territory, and, as I said, it is quite large. For everyone who loves and knows history, it is a must-visit.

The memorial complex is very well maintained, everything is clean
We booked the tour in advance (there is a phone number on the website), we really liked the guide
We walked around the museum, the whole history of the place is laid out by periods
It is worth visiting iconic places on the territory (check with the guide at the end of the tour where it is even better to go)

Entrance to the territory is free; entrance to the museum buildings is paid. It is better to check the opening hours in advance. This is not a place for children's fun. There was a teenage guard at the eternal flame - impressive. There are signs that we do not climb monuments.

A place of memory! It's a very psychologically difficult place. A huge open-air museum. There are many locations, there are both modern and interactive museums, as well as a large classical museum of the Brest Fortress. You can write a lot about this place for a long time. Who has never been, be sure to visit, it is very important. If you are a visitor, it is better to take a guide.

Brest Hero Fortress is one of the business cards of Brest, the most famous landmark of this city.
It includes the Brest Fortress Defense Museum, monuments, a stella, a temple and other structures located on an area of about 4 square kilometers. It will take about 3-4 hours to get around everything and take photos for memory.
I recommend the services of a guide who will tell you in detail, quickly and interestingly about the fortress defense museum and the structures on its territory.
Souvenir shops and grocery stores are also located on site.
How to get there: it is possible to get there by public transport (buses, taxis), by sightseeing transport and by private car, for which there is a large parking lot.
The Brest Fortress is mandatory for everyone who will visit Brest at least for a short time, as this monument to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War helps to better understand the history of the city and Belarus as a whole. Suitable for people of any age.
Have a nice trip!

We devoted the whole day to the Brest Fortress. We took a tour of the fortress territory, visited several exhibitions and the garrison temple. The central entrance to the territory is a gate with a star, the "Holy War" sounds in the loudspeaker, the voice of the announcer announcing the beginning of the war and the sound of a stopwatch, I already started crying.... The guide's story struck me with facts and details. The Fascists wanted to take the fortress in 8 hours, our Heroes held the defense for 32 days! The fortress was a garrison, military men and families lived in it, there were many children and women, 1,877 people died, these are the ones that are installed, new graves are found every year. I cried the whole tour, the guide described in great detail the life and death of specific people, how they suffered from thirst and died because of a drop of water, how fathers covered their children with their bodies, many survived the horror of concentration camps, but no matter what they survived, about who the surviving children of the fortress became. There is a guard near the eternal flame around the clock and in any weather: teenagers aged 15-17. Our people cannot be defeated while we honor the memory of the Heroes, here the sense of patriotism and pride is simply off the scale! Everyone should visit this place!

Already at the entrance, the heart freezes, goosebumps run and tears come. There is a nice little museum in the fortress, although the floor creaks and the guide is hard to hear. Be sure to read the letters and look at all the photos. I roared through the whole tour. The earth is special here, I just want to wander in silence, thank my grandparents, ask the universe so that this does not happen again.
About everyday things. The toilet is such that it is better to wait until the city. Cafes are open on weekends, on weekdays it is better to have water with you. Be prepared for the fact that you drive for 5 hours, then 4 hours in the city and fortress (this is lunch, an excursion and a walk), and then back for 5 hours. The cost is 4500 rubles.

A childhood dream. We arrived on 02.05.22. We got there by car. They entered through the "Star". Basically, he knew where everything was. We went to the defense museum. Guided tour. It seemed to me that he needed to work out faster and leave. Some expositions have passed by altogether. The most basic ones, of course, were worked out - the stopped clock. He made a remark to me - you can not shoot video during the tour - as if - "this is private intellectual property, shooting only with coloring, otherwise - criminal liability!". It's good that the negative impressions ended there. There is some kind of energy. We went everywhere. Terespolsky gate, Kholmsky, monument "Thirst", Eternal flame. Then they wanted ice cream and the wife went to the tent. I went to the souvenir stand. A couple of words and a man joined the conversation nearby. He turned out to be a guide. He briefly told me about the fortress. Have you been there? Have you seen the place of Major Gavrilov's capture? The tour today, 02.05, costs 75 bel.rub. on normal days - 50 bel.rub. Have you been to the garrison church? Go while it's open. I've been to a lot of churches, but she left a very big impression. It is both a museum and a functioning church. It was an Orthodox church, then a Catholic one, then a club, then ruins, and in the 90s it was restored, but only from the outside - inside it was set aside as it is. He walked around with his mouth open... Tired. The flow shaft was only about - the legs were falling off. We went out at four in the evening. A part of me remained in the fortress - a part of the fortress remained in my heart. "I'm crapos, I'm fighting, I'm holding an abarona, we're waiting for reinforcements!" Only the fighters did not wait for him! An example of hopeless courage! The fighters knew that no one would come, but they fought with incredible courage anyway. The first order for the retreat of the fascists was given during the storming of the Brest fortress!
Low bow to the fighters!

And also this set is very large and interesting. But as for me, there are not enough performances (I may not have seen ... well, in short, more) or a photo booth where you can take a picture, for example, with a gun.…

We would like to ask the management of the memorial to provide more informative information about the work of the museum on the territory of the Eastern Fort. Out of curiosity, I went towards the Eastern Fort and found that there was an exhibition there. On the way back, I even suggested to several tourists that there is also something to see there, since at the first glance from the intersection, the grille catches the eye and there is a feeling that it is impossible to go there. The score is reduced only for lack of information.

The Brest fortress was one of the first to accept the onslaught of the German invaders.
A lot of blood was shed, many lives were lost, but the memory of the steadfastness of the defenders of the fortress will forever remain in our hearts!

The memorial makes an impression long before the entrance, the metronome, the sound of shells, Levitan's announcement of the outbreak of war - all this is very poignant and memorable for many years.
