the famous Brest Fortress memorial complex. Several famous monuments to the soldiers - defenders of the fortress: Thirst, Courage, ruins of the building of the ring barracks, Eternal Flame... The entrance to the fortress itself is very stylishly made - in the form of a large star break in the concrete wall. Funeral music is playing. The exhibition of military technology behind the monument of Courage... All this is on a large territory, a two-hour leisurely walk. I recommend.

It is mandatory to visit and view. It is best to visit the memorial complex in spring and summer. Stock up on time somewhere for the whole day, you won't be able to count on less. You will have a very good time, take a walk. It is very beautiful when everything is blooming and blooming.

Probably one of the most legendary places of the Great Patriotic War. Everything looks very beautiful, conveys the spirit of a very terrible bloody battle at the beginning of the war

I was last in the Brest fortress 10 years ago. I can say with confidence that this place has become much better: new fortress sites have been restored, many interesting places have been added, part of the fortress behind the bridge has been opened, new equipment has been installed, etc. I'm glad I've been here.

The echo of the war. It's better to go with a guide, it's more interesting. You can stick your nose where you shouldn't, the grilles are cut down in some places, but it's not safe

A very iconic place. Quietly, calmly. We took an individual tour. We traveled from Moscow specifically to prepare a report by May 9 (to tell about the feat). It is very good that there is practically no trade, and what is there is hidden and unnoticeable. Thank you very much for the preservation of the memorial complex.

This is a sacred place!!! I always enter the fortress with a sinking heart and realize that one of the most important battles of the Great Patriotic War took place here. Every centimeter of the earth carries the memory of those terrible events. We remember them and will pass this memory on to our descendants.

A lot of work is being done to organize and maintain this memorial. New museums and exhibitions are being created. It is difficult to see everything in one visit. Highly professional work of the guides. I would especially like to mention and thank Elena Grib, who conducted our tour. A beautiful woman in all respects, not indifferent to her work, an exceptional specialist. Thank you very much again!

This is where the Great Patriotic War began for our country. We have seen this in many old and modern films. But no film will convey what you will experience when you find yourself in the Fortress. A sacred place for those born in the USSR. An open-air museum. The territory of memory, sorrow and eternal admiration for COURAGE and FORTITUDE. Here, every piece of land was a personal boundary for its defender. During my school years, I read Sergei Smirnov's book about the defenders of the fortress, wrote an essay on it for exams in 8th grade and always dreamed of visiting Brest. I realized my dream as an adult. I sincerely admire the respect for MEMORY in Belarus.

Even at school age, I dreamed of visiting the Brest fortress. I grew up and my dream came true. It is a very interesting and at the same time very tragic place. But for the sake of memory and for the sake of respect for our Soviet soldiers, it is necessary to visit and tell the children.

On May 8, 1965, noting the exceptional merits of the Brest Fortress to the Motherland, it was awarded the honorary title of "Hero Fortress" with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal. The Great Patriotic War began on June 22, 1941 at 4:15 a.m. with a powerful artillery strike on the Brest fortress. Most of the participants in the defense of the fortress died. Those who broke out of the enemy's ring continued to fight the enemy. A very interesting and informative historical monument, the Brest Hero Fortress memorial.

We were with the whole family in 2019, but I was not pleasantly surprised, the museum was absolutely not impressed. At least part of the fortress has not been recreated. An ordinary Soviet-style Stella. You don't feel the whole tragedy of what happened in 1941

That's what I can say.... Shame on the country! Such a seemingly significant object, and the service is ours..... Sovkovo is Belarusian. There are no signs, no diagrams, it's closed here, look for yourself, everything is "Orthodox" - expensive-rich with golden domes and pseudo-believers...

The heroic Brest Fortress. Everyone knows about her. It was well promoted during the Soviet era, because against the background of general panic and flight, it was almost the only center of organized resistance (albeit spontaneous). Real heroes fought here.

A monument to our great Victory. To the heroes who were the first to encounter the cynical "Blitzkriegs" hurrying to the east, hoping for an imposing walk to Moscow. They faced and won, at the cost of their lives, the lives of their unborn children and their failed future. Thank you, Brothers and Sisters! We will always remember you.

This place should be visited by every one of the former Soviet people, from those whose ancestors fought off the fascists and drove them all the way to their lair! The energy is very strong... you walk on this land there and only one thought sits in your head: "How many people died here?.." There are not so many iconic places associated with the Great Patriotic War - Sevastopol, Stalingrad and the Brest Fortress - I have only to visit Stalingrad, on Mamayev Kurgan. Belarusians are great! They keep the memory of that war very well: there are no signs of abandonment and neglect. Every brick of these ruins has been put in a state where its appearance speaks of old age, but it is unlikely that it will crumble... The steles with the names and titles of the people who died at the place are impressive in different places, Fomin put flowers. It's like in that movie where the narration is conducted on behalf of a little boy. All the characters in the film are real people, who sometimes died as whole families and this gives goosebumps... People, do not allow the same lawlessness!

Before going to the fortress, it would be nice for everyone to get acquainted with the book by Sergey Smirnov "Brest Fortress". It is a great human job to find and participate in the lives of people who survived after participating in the defense of the fortress, who passed through all the horrors of captivity. If there had been no Smirnov, no one would have known that there was such a fortress at the line of defense and such indomitable people defending it. That's how one person was able to write another page of the victory story.

Words cannot convey it! You need to see it all. To walk through the land drenched in the blood of our fathers and grandfathers. Read the lists of those killed in the defense, go to the museum to listen to the guide and look at the photos. Stand by the remains of the destroyed barracks. To get into that atmosphere. The impressions are indescribable!! Eternal memory to you are the heroes thanks to whom we live.

We experienced a tremendous shock. For the first time, they realized that besides the military, there were families of officers in the fortress all this time. Children, a lot of children... with a lump in their throat and a stone in their soul, they wandered around the fortress all day - and it seemed little. Everything is arranged there somehow very carefully, restrained, severe and at the same time piercing. Wonderful museums. I strongly advise you to visit there if possible - there are situations when you do not need to take care of yourself. We need to learn this valuable lesson and become smarter and more merciful)
