I visited the Abanotubani sulfur baths in Tbilisi and was deeply impressed! This is not just a sauna complex, but a real cultural phenomenon. We were in an individual room for two: it has a shower, toilet, stone pedestal for procedures and, of course, the sulfur bath itself. The overall feeling is like after a full—fledged relaxation. A complete sense of immersion in an ancient tradition. It is possible even in our individual room and recreation Pushkin))) Prices for individual rooms are 120 GEL for 2 people, 160 GEL for 3 people for 1 hour. Massages and tea can be ordered. Delicious herbal tea with honey. A great place to overload and continue exploring Tbilisi. The queues are long and you need to book in advance. The recording was a couple of days in advance.

I checked the box that I need to visit next time. What they write: The name of the city comes from the Georgian word "Tbilisi" (warm). The legend of the foundation: King Vakhtang Gorgasali shot a pheasant while hunting, which fell into a hot spring and boiled. Amazed by the find, the tsar ordered the construction of a city on this site. Club of interest: In the 18th and 19th centuries, baths were a round–the-clock "club": here they not only washed, but also socialized, solved cases, drank wine, and grooms arranged bride screenings. The most beautiful is Orbelian (Mottled or Blue). Its facade is decorated with bright tiles and pointed arches. About Pushkin: Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin actually visited the sulfur baths in Tbilisi. It happened on May 27, 1829, during his trip to Arzrum. In the book "Journey to Arzrum," he left a famous enthusiastic review: "I have never seen anything more luxurious than Tiflis baths." And this is how he described the process of washing with the bath attendant Hassan: "... he began to break my limbs, pull out the compounds, beat me hard with his fist... After that, he rubbed me for a long time with a woolen glove... The feeling is inexplicable: hot soap pours over you like air!"
