Eketorp fortress originated in the IV century as Fornborg, a fortification of the Iron Age people. It was used during the era of the migration of peoples, the Vendel era and the Viking age, up to the middle of the 13th century. One of the 19 surviving Fornborgs of Eland, is being actively reconstructed for guided tours. Getting there by public transport is almost impossible.
