An empty crypt, silence and the sound of water. A huge sarcophagus, it all makes a strange feeling. The sarcophagus seems huge to a human, but if we recall the Ak-Sarai, a palace for Timur 70 meters in height, it becomes clear. It would probably have been luxurious with all the decorations, but Timur was buried in Samarkand and now it is a very secluded place. To sit and think about something, without fuss, it's here. You can also go to the mosque and see trees in the courtyard that are more than 600 years old. They say Timur planted one of them personally.

I've never been to the crypt, it's very atmospheric. But they took 40 thousand Soms for the visit. It's not worth the money. It's too expensive. You have to pay for the entrance to each temple and so on. Why not make one ticket for the whole complex.
