In good weather, there was a queue at the tower, like in a mausoleum under Soviet rule, and 5 people were allowed there. It was possible to get to the tower due to cloudy weather. There was almost no queue! Inside the tower there is a spiral staircase of 190 steps. The height of the tower is 35 meters. There is a version that it was originally a sugar factory pipe, but I have doubts about it: why would a small sugar factory built 200 years ago need such a gigantic pipe; why build a sugar factory right in the park, just three hundred meters from the palace, and even with a huge smoking pipe; why pipe It is decorated throughout its height with rings of colored bricks and ornaments at the top, and why windows are made in it... And the view from the tower to Gomel and the surrounding area is gorgeous! And another interesting observation: there was no wind at all below, but it was very strong above.
