It is a favorite place not only for citizens, but also for tourists. In the very center of Paris, you can easily find a secluded place where you can escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, digest your emotions and observe the measured life of Parisians.

This is a historic garden located in the 1st arrondissement, opposite the north wing of the Louvre. It is part of the Palais Royal architectural ensemble, which includes a palace, a square and a park. The garden was founded in 1633 and covers an area of 20,850 m2. The palace was originally built for Cardinal Richelieu and was called the Cardinal's Palace, but after his death it became the royal residence and was named the Palais Royal. Today, the garden is open to the public and is open daily from 8:00 to 22:30. It is surrounded by galleries with boutiques and cafes, and is also known for its modern installations such as the Buren Columns and the Paul Bury Fountain. There are magnolias in the garden, planted in 1992, which bloom every spring, creating a picturesque sight. There is also a small bronze cannon, which in the 18th century was used as a sundial, firing every day at noon. The Palais Royal Garden is an oasis of tranquility and beauty in the midst of a very bustling city. Interestingly, there are many cafes and restaurants serving Asian cuisine near the garden, especially Japanese and Korean ones.

My favorite place in Paris! A quiet beautiful park in the very center of the French capital.
