A great place for connoisseurs of antiquity. A good alternative to paid excursions to the "Other monastery". On the downside: it was very difficult to find the entrance, there are no signs!

there are mostly only walls left, fragmentary frescoes are visible in the cave church, restoration is underway, beautiful views of the city, the entrance ticket is not expensive, parking is 200 meters away.

A former women's Orthodox monastery founded in the 14th century. It has been abandoned for political reasons since 1923. It currently operates as a museum, restoration is underway, but in 100 years the monastery has been reduced to ruins. The sight of damaged and burnt frescoes makes my heart ache. But this place will not leave anyone who is interested in history indifferent. They paid 170 lire for two, the price is more than affordable. I recommend.
