The second highest mountain peak is 2,709 meters in the Gagra mountain range of the Republic of Abkhazia. The first is the Ah-Ag (2732.4 m). The slopes have the richest mid-latitude forests of the Western Caucasus. They are especially beautiful in Autumn. But it's up to one and a half kilometers. Above are alpine meadows overlooking the coast and the Olympic Park with the Fisht Stadium Palace. It is "only" 30 km away. It is better to travel with local drivers in an SUV.
