It's great to go for a walk, of course, but there are a lot of people. Everything is expensive at prices) You can go once for a checkmark.

Amazing! A city within a city. I've never been to an oriental bazaar, and now I have. It's not that there are a lot of goods and sellers there, it's a special world that you need to look at at least once.

You can find a lot of good things. I didn't give 5 stars only because almost every seller (and not only) on the market smokes like steam locomotives)))

it's expensive, dirty in places, an ordinary bazaar where they want to cheat, prices are called from "baldy". Neighboring stalls sell the same product, and different prices differ by 2, and sometimes by 3 times. Maybe I'm not used to it, but I don't want to get used to it!

This market is not just a place for shopping, but a living museum, where every stall preserves the stories of Ottoman craftsmen, and the noise of the crowd merges with the echo of centuries, leaving the impression that Istanbul never sleeps.

They came to satisfy curiosity. Basically, there are a lot of replicas of branded bags and other accessories. Sets, trinkets… We didn't buy anything, because there are mostly souvenirs, and all sorts of replicas)
I liked the market building itself as a historical architectural structure.

Prices are inflated 3-4 times. But you can find cheap souvenirs.
A whole day should be set aside for the bazaar.
There are very nervous sellers in some pavilions.

It's like falling into a fairy tale of a Thousand and One nights, you can buy everything or almost everything! An ancient building, atmospheric, it's just huge, really a Grand Bazaar! If you like something and decide to buy it, it's better to do it right away (after you agree on the price), because then you just won't find this place! And in other places, you may not like this thing or the price so much, but where you looked before is unlikely to find it, tested on yourself

It's huge, but it's not much use. Most of them don't work on weekends for some reason. They sell basically the same thing. The Egyptian bazaar is much more compact, more beautiful and easier to find what you need. Go there instead)

A must-visit if you visit Istanbul. Even if you don't buy anything, but feel the atmosphere of the oriental bazaar.
For me, the main disadvantage is the merchants smoking everywhere. After all, the room is closed - it's unpleasant…

Wow, it's beautiful and vintage. Very oriental, with a local flavor. Sociable sellers, a lot of interesting goods. You can try and touch everything! The best exchange rates in the city if you need to change currency. Be very careful, I bred a lot for money, like sellers of silk carpets 60x90 for fifteen hundred dollars! But it always pulls you back just to walk among people.

There is no navigation. Sellers smoke right inside. And then they drink tea. And then they make deals to buy gold. Loot and gold are carried on funny carts by rustic-looking peasants. It's like there's not 1,000 million trillion dollars in there, but dog food. The best TRY/USD rate

The Grand Bazaar is a huge market in Istanbul, where you can find a variety of goods: from souvenirs to textiles and carpets. It was founded in 1453 and consists of 66 streets. At the market, you can admire the architecture and atmosphere of oriental trade. However, prices at the Grand Bazaar can be high, and sometimes it is difficult to navigate the maze of shopping malls.

It's just a huge market that I think has everything. It is necessary to bargain, and aggressively, they discount the price by 2 times. The exchange rate near the Grand Bazaar is the most profitable, we looked everywhere and compared, near the hotels the rate is lower. I must say right away, if your goal is to see the entire Grand Bazaar, then set aside a whole day for it at once. I was missing for more than 2 hours.

We bought silk shawls, souvenirs and pillowcases for pillows.

Pros: big, incomprehensible.
Cons: the goods are not ordered in rows, when they are not addressed in their native Turkish, sellers overestimate the cost of the goods three times. We were convinced by our own experience: they asked how much a set of cups / cups in English costs, one, asked the person sitting inside how much it costs, and received an answer of 500 lira!!! He replied to us in English for 1,500 lire, then dropped it to 1,000 lire. My daughter is studying at the university and speaks Turkish. In general, a deception...

Kapalıçarşı is one of the largest markets in the world, whose history began five and a half centuries ago. Now a famous Istanbul tourist attraction. We took a walk to touch Turkish market marketing once again. We did not initially plan to buy anything, since all the goods offered at the Grand Bazaar can be bought in other places of Istanbul for half the price.
