The place is exclusively tourist. The prices are inflated by 3 times, compared to the usual shops that come across on the street.
Take a walk, take a look... having previously mastered the subway.

Very expensive. They trade reluctantly, some do not trade at all. But the same goods can be bought on the streets outside this market 5-10 times cheaper. The assessment is only for historical value.

The Grand Bazaar is located in the Fatih district directly opposite the tram stop. It is called, oddly enough, "Grand Bazaar". You can get to the legendary market through the entrance, protected by a frame with a metal detector. Inside there is a huge shopping area where everything is sold. Sellers partially know Russian and English, but the further you move away from the main alleys, the more likely it is that you will have to communicate with gestures. Clothing prices are lower than Russian ones, in any case, this is relevant for casual quality goods. The leather is wildly expensive: for a small handbag, the Turks wanted from 7 to 15 thousand rubles. With regard to branded clothing, everything is controversial here. If you don't want to stick, look for brands in boutiques. For those who love oriental aesthetics, there are many hookah bars and catering establishments in the Grand Bazaar area. In general, the Grand Bazaar allows you to return to childhood, when your parents dragged you to the market to buy new pants with "Batman".

Probably the most "colorful" place in Istanbul!
If you are in Istanbul, you will definitely visit! Huge in itself: it is hardly possible to return to the "entry point" for the first time. When we wandered through it, it seemed that it was endless at all.
It's full of everything. what the soul desires!
We bought very beautiful handmade chess there. Moreover, they bargained for a good price!
If you buy something, bargain! Here it is a "rule of good form". But at the same time be polite, and, I assure you, you will get a good price!
Grand Bazar - 5*!

It's not a clean place. But it is mandatory to visit. The merchants have the same thing, they couldn't find anything exclusive. But the atmosphere and of course the freshly squeezed juice for 70 lire is what you should go there for)!

A beautiful tourist place, a lot of people. The prices are overpriced, the product is beautifully laid out. If you go further, you will get to the shopping malls, where prices are lower and more willing to trade.

A noisy place, with a monotonous assortment. The exchange rates are worse than on the main street of Istanbul. There are a lot of smokers and left-hand goods. I can't even recommend watching it. An ordinary market, nothing supernatural. The presentation of the bazaar was different.

That's exactly where there's nothing to do. It's not about history or oriental exoticism. The market is purely for tourists. The only historical thing in the Grand Bazaar is the building itself. You will definitely not experience any flavor of originality here. There is another market nearby - Arasta, it is much nicer and more comfortable there.
In general, if you have a desire to be nostalgic and plunge into the atmosphere of any Russian clothing market of the 90s, welcome.

An interesting authentic place for a hiking trip! But in terms of food purchases: such as teas or dried fruits, be careful! Almost all products are infected with beetles or weevil larvae!!! Do you know who they are? Buy 100 grams of dried strawberries at the Grand Bazaar or at the Egyptian Market in Istanbul and you can study insects without leaving the cash register 🤓

The Grand Bazaar, this is exactly the Grand bazaar! It seems to me that it has no beginning and no end! They sell everything, sweets , teas, clothes, shoes, gold! The main thing is to find a way out! And be prepared for the fact that you will go out in a completely unfamiliar place!

OH, that's SOMETHING! To come to Istanbul and not visit the Grand Bazaar is a wedding without music. Moreover, there is no need to shop in the bazaar itself - everything is very expensive, purchases must be made on the outskirts of it, in wholesale street shops, but the bazaar itself must be visited in order to feel the arc of oriental trade.

The ancestor of all Cherkizons.
The crush. Uneven floor. Narrow slits.
All the shops have a lot of monotonous goods of unknown origin and quality.
THE MUSEUM OF THE CUNNING ART OF DECEPTION, THE ELEGANT SKILL OF SNIFFING, SELLING, CHEATING :))
It's worth going. An interesting phenomenon that has almost been forgotten among us. A peculiar architecture. But keep your wallets away. And most importantly, do not buy ANYTHING :))
By the way, there are a lot of shops around the bazaar with the same and even more diverse assortment, but there is no such crowd and the art of deception.
Advice to the organizers: turn on oriental background music, the dress code of the merchants, focus on historical uniqueness - and the people will participate in the performance, as it were.

I really liked it: the goods are of excellent quality - I wanted to buy everything from souvenirs to clothes and carpets), the sellers are polite and intelligent, they are happy to give in price), and the Bazaar itself is very atmospheric - a real Istanbul!
