The interior and exterior, reminiscent of the Soviet era, are historical and beautiful. However, speaking as a Japanese person, I don't particularly like this store. They only sell unofficial and pirated Japanese products and character goods. The neighboring TSUM is larger, has a better selection of Kyrgyz souvenirs, and is more enjoyable. I've heard that during the Soviet era, GUM was for foreigners and TSUM was for locals, but I wonder if it's the other way around now.

One of the two places of more or less decent trade. The second one is Tsum. Gum has a large number of boutiques under local brands. The company store found only one - scechers. Yes, inconvenient escalators, ascent in one side of the building, descent in the other. The ceilings are low and gloomy. But in any case, this is the best of the trade centers that Bishkek has. There is a supermarket downstairs and this adds points to Gum.
