Maybe 30 years ago it was a great hotel at the highest standards of its time. But as of today, and compared to other Western Hotels, this is maximum 1 or 2 stars. The room did not have modern furniture and was not very pleasant. Nevertheless: breakfast was very good and the soviet art gallery on the walls was very authentic and beautiful to see.

I really liked the hotel! Clean and cozy. Polite staff. We had a triple room. A delight for a child. A baby bed in the room in the form of a steam train! There is a large double bed and a large sofa. Spacious bathroom with shower and bidet. There is a restaurant. Convenient location. There is a parking lot for cars. There were a couple of unpleasant moments. Wi-Fi works only at the entrance, it practically does not catch at the bed. The ceiling lights were flashing at night. The impression at night is as if the flash is working. Until I put the switch in the middle position, they did not stop. For the staff, it is forbidden to put fluorescent lamps with a backlit switch! The lamps will still flicker! Otherwise, only positive emotions.

The hotel is located in a historic building, close to the train station and the center. Polite staff, clean enough. The hotel has a panoramic elevator, a museum.Vysotsky (they were not). The only question is for the restaurant, breakfast is until 11.00, when we checked in, even at the reception they asked how much we plan to have breakfast, we said that at about 10.00. Well, OK, we found something to eat, this is not the only food, but on the last day the bread was only black, the time was about 10.10. We asked for white bread, to which we were told that there was none!! This is a fiasco, bro! Do you have breakfast in a restaurant that serves a la carte all day and you don't have white bread?? A lot of people don't eat black bread and not all of them because they don't like it. For example, those who have an increased acidity of the stomach, they can not have black bread.
Then it was even more fun, we took the last fried egg, omelette, croissants and something else was already over before us. Towards the end of breakfast, a man came, began to ask (apparently about eggs), they also told him no, no, he picked up food, again approached the waiters and began to ask, literally begging, it didn't look very good. One of the waiters took an empty tray and after a while a plate of fried eggs was brought to the man. Seriously? What kind of restaurant is this where residents have to literally BEG for a paid breakfast?
I have repeatedly seen reviews complaining about breakfasts in Bug, I thought people were exaggerating. No, they are not exaggerating, those who write good reviews just come earlier, and not an hour before the end of breakfast.
Therefore, the advice for those who are going to book this, in general, a good hotel is to book rooms without breakfast, or come early

We stayed with a family of 4 people passing through. The hotel is located just fine: near the bus station, railway station, park, Brest Fortress, street of lanterns and much more in a half-hour walk. The room is just wonderful: a double bed, two folding sofas, a huge bathroom with a shower and a bathtub😳 a set of towels for each resident, but only 2 bathrobes🤷♂️ there is also a dining table in the room, but only four glasses and a kettle are available from the dishes, and for some reason only 2 bottles of water 0.5😬 there is a mini fridge, TV, wi-fi. At the time of our stay, the weather was hot, and therefore we really lacked a split system🥵 but given the usual climate of the region, this option is most likely usually not in demand. The hotel has a room where Vysotsky stayed. There are also photos on the walls of famous personalities who lived in this hotel or were somehow connected with it. Paintings are placed along the corridors, the feeling that you live in a museum🙂 I would like to have bags of water on the floor, well, not everyone is suitable for drinking tap water...special thanks to the restaurant with its wonderful breakfasts (buffet), fruits, vegetables, porridge (though only one), omelette, scrambled eggs, sausages, casserole, pastries, juices, coffee machine.. in a word, you definitely won't go hungry, I think everyone will find something to their taste.. on the day of departure, however, there was a question about the availability of a free table, at the time of our visit to the restaurant there were no free tables, but after a couple of minutes the place was vacated and we settled down quietly. In general, I liked the hotel, it seemed a little overpriced, but apparently the season location plays a role here. In a word, we didn't regret a bit that we stayed at the Bug hotel. If we get to Brest again, we will most likely stay only at this hotel.

A hotel with its pros and cons.
Among the advantages: a rich history and general interiors, the Vysotsky Museum, which often stopped here on the way to Europe, delicious and varied Swedish breakfasts, a good location, where it is not far from here.
The interior of the hotel: cheap rooms with synthetic curtains and bedspreads, terrible street noise from a busy highway under the windows, the lack of conduits in the rooms (and we got into 30 degree heat) - if there is a conditioner in the room, then the price instantly skyrocketed.

The hotel is wonderful, excellent location, delicious breakfasts, food in general, clean, cozy. Expensive and, accordingly, there is a requirement for this - perfection in everything. Unfortunately, there are nuances (complaints about towels, lack of water in the rooms, tea set, bathrobes and slippers, safe, bedside mats or to remove or clean, if soap and shampoo are provided, do not forget about shower gel). As it is, everything is very good. I would definitely stay at this hotel again (and more than once)

A wonderful hotel in the city center within walking distance from the transitional street, where the lamplighter lights gas lanterns. Gogol Boulevard with lanterns stylized for a variety of subjects. Reception with cute, not pretentious girls. They are very friendly, open, always trying to explain and help. The cleanliness is perfect everywhere. The food is excellent and varied, delicious. The room is small but cozy, clean with clean linen and a comfortable bed. I rested alone, single. There was a Vysotsky Museum on my floor. Interesting, I visited with pleasure. A bunch of celebrities lived in the hotel at different times. The railway station is literally across the railway tracks. A 10-minute walk away. I walked to the train. There is a market nearby . A wonderful hotel in Brest. Everything is very clean, breakfast is included (buffet). Convenient location, close to many shops and cafes, a beautiful park nearby. There is also a car and a railway station nearby. But it's not noisy outside the window. This is a historical place that has been placed by many famous people. It even has an entire room dedicated to the love story of Vysotsky and Vladi.

Everything is fine, the room is clean, there is everything you need: slippers, shower gel, shampoo, air conditioning in the room, a kitchenette with a kettle, cutlery, a small refrigerator, a microwave oven. Breakfast is included, buffet style. The spacious bathroom has a large bathroom, shower stall, bidet. Towels and bathrobes are also provided. Breakfasts are limited, and despite the fact that breakfast time was marked upon check-in, not all dishes were served. We had dinner in a restaurant one evening - everything is very good! I liked it - and the food is delicious, and the waiter's work is 5. There are several points that form the overall impression, for example - it is very dark in the bathroom, there are no slippers, although this is already the norm in all threesomes, there is no water, there is no mirror (only in a dark bathroom), towels are washed to such an extent, there is a fringe around the edges, and in general the room needs updating.

I was in this hotel for one night. Located in a historic building, many celebrities, including Vladimir Vysotsky, stayed in the walls of this hotel. The Vysotsky Memorial Museum is organized on the territory.
There are not many hotels in Brest in general, but my choice fell on this one. You come in and the surroundings and the atmosphere of the hotel make an impression.
But after settling in, suspicious thoughts began to creep in.
First, about the advantages.
The first is the atmosphere itself. After checking in, I couldn't help thinking that it was in such rooms and in such an environment that the cream of the Soviet nomenclature stayed. Carpets, columns, high ceilings. All this suggests that you are at the top of the food chain in the USSR.
Staff. They are like ants, they clean, clean, and wear everything all day long. It's right there in the eye. And indeed everything is neat, clean and not dusty everywhere. All the staff is fit, neat and friendly. This is undoubtedly a plus.
Now about the cons.
I repeat, the hotel positions itself as a historical and status place. Well, is it really impossible to hang homogeneous towels in the room (I hope the photo will appear in the attachment), that is, three towels are white and three will be bright green from another set. And the foot towel will be generally colorful. Perhaps someone will say that this is delicious and I got too much and in general, they say, be glad that they put it. But again, the room prices are by no means small, and there is no such thing in similar hotels.
A washing kit. Gentlemen, but this is a real darkness. Three pieces of soap, two shampoos and two gels. (photos should appear again) . The amount of funds in these bags is clearly not enough. If you are bearded and have hair on your head, then you need to apply it very economically. Fortunately, I am bald and bearded) but not even enough for a beard. Lumpy soap is generally microscopic, and it tries to slip out of your hands.
The room has a shower cabin. But there are no shelves in it, or rather there was clearly a shelf there, but apparently she went to work in another hotel. The fastening remains of it. (photo in the attachment) . That is, when you enter the booth, you have to jump like a jerboa with a bag of shampoo and gel so that God forbid they do not fall. (we remember that the contents of these bags are very small)
Conditioner. There is one in the room. But I had a two-room suite. One part has a sofa and a TV, the second one directly with a bed. Guess where the air conditioner is? That's right, in the part where the TV is. Its power is absolutely not enough to cool the entire room. I had to open the window, but it honestly didn't help much. It was +30 degrees celsius.
Toilet. It was in the room, but it was located in a strange way. It turns out that there are two doors leading to the toilet. One from the shower, the other from the hallway. (Walk-through toilet)). But it closes with only one door. There is a gaping hole in the second door in place of the lock. Therefore, sitting on a white friend, it is better to hold one door.
The room needs to be repaired or updated, there are scuffs and incomprehensible brown spots on the wallpaper.
Food. I took the accommodation with breakfast. At the reception, they clarified what time I plan to have breakfast and gave me a ticket indicating the time of the visit. Getting up early in the morning (to get to the Fraternal Fortress early) I decided to go into the dining room to have breakfast. What I saw near the restaurant once again brought my thoughts back to thinking about the late USSR. The queue of hotel guests stretched from the restaurant to the reception. To be honest, I don't like queues, especially on my legal vacation. Therefore, I decided to postpone breakfast. I went to read the press, studied the portraits of famous guests, watched TV. When I returned an hour later, I didn't see the queue anymore. I went into the breakfast room and started to put food on my plate. Breakfast is organized according to the buffet system.
There are no questions about the quality of the products and the assortment. Everything is decent enough. There is a coffee machine. However, I have reasonable suspicions that the food is not being updated. That is, they cooked 50 cheesecakes and that's it. The one who comes earlier has the opportunity to choose, the one who comes later has less choice. The one who comes at the end is satisfied with what remains.
Summarizing all of the above. The hotel is strangely stuck in time. The status of the past is fixed in the photos of celebrities , in architecture . But this is very little for the present. In a good way, you need to update the room stock, work with catering. It's probably worth stopping here once to feel like the secretary of the district party committee. But the second time I would look for other options, or even better to rent an apartment.

My wife and grandson and I were at the Bug Hotel from Saturday, June 22 to Saturday, June 29. We are satisfied with almost everything, and the location of the hotel, near the train station and in the very center of the city. There is a large recreation park with attractions nearby, the whole park is surrounded by tall trees and it is very comfortable in the heat, there are various cafes and points selling soft drinks and ice cream. And most importantly, the park is very clean. There is a large open-air railway museum next to the park. And if you cross the Warsaw highway, you will find yourself right in front of the Brest fortress. At the Bug hotel, we fixed one big minus - it is a very weak signal level of the free Internet, it works well only in the reception area. Otherwise, we were satisfied with everything.

A wonderful hotel! We lived in room 209, where Vladimir Vysotsky stayed over the years. The room is beautiful and colorful. The interior is diluted with decor and furniture from the 70s. A large new and very comfortable bed. Nice pillows. There is a projector and a TV in the small room. There is a hair dryer. Towels. Wi-Fi. We had breakfast at the hotel, paid directly at the restaurant. The buffet is quite good. 2 types of scrambled eggs, porridge, flakes. Garnish and cutlets with gravy. Tea, coffee, fruits. We really liked it.
The hotel is located within walking distance from the train station (go over the bridge) and within walking distance from the main streets. There are many shops nearby, cheeses, sausages, ice cream, cosmetics.

The rooms are clean, simple, the furniture is not new, but quite decent, the air conditioning was only in one room. When the window is open at night, you can hear the road passing nearby. Breakfast is a buffet, the price is 20 Belarusian rubles. We went to a coffee shop 300-400 meters from the hotel, coffee and a couple of rolls for about 5-7 rubles. Отель в целом очень хороший! Место расположение отличное, рядом все что нужно туристу:ж/д вокзал,магазины,кафе, пешком до местных достопримечательностей,рукой подать.
Заселились мгновенно,номер очень красивый и чистый, удобные кровати, хорошее чистое постельное белье. В номере есть мини кухня,если есть желание можно приготовить завтрак самостоятельно) так же отель предоставляет завтраки за доп.плату.
Из минусов отель находится у дороги ,ночью шумновато. Гостей в номере было 4 человека,халата только 2), про тапочки забудьте их там нет вообще и даже за плату на ресепшен их тоже нет. Мини наборов для личной гигиены тоже нет, надо везти все с собой. В ванной совсем не продумано ,в душевой кабине струя воды направлена на стык дверей,которые не плотно закрываются ,в результате пол не просто мокрый,там большая лужа, не приятно ходить совсем по мокрому, холодному,скользкому полу.
За деньги ,которые стоит номер в отеле, можно было бы сервис ,мягко говоря, повыше. Ну или хотя бы ,чтоб завтрак входил в стоимость,чтобы уравновесить ощущения от цена- качество)
Хотя в целом впечатление не плохое)

The owner loves his hotel very much, it's obvious. There is even a room (museum) of V.S. Vysotsky. Everything is very old, but clean and well maintained. Price/quality. The numbers are just to roll the dice for the night. The rooms are very sad (wallpaper, decoration, engineering ... everything needs to be changed, of course) but you leave the room and everything changes.) The dining room is great.
