On the maps, the sculpture is called the confessor, but in fact it represents a herald who holds in his hands a scroll with a text in the Old Russian language – a letter from Prince Dmitry Koribut to Prince Jagiello, dated 1388. It contains the first documentary mention of the city of Molodechno.
