The Kumpyak tavern became one of the main gastro-discoveries on a trip all over Belarus. The name refers to the raw ham— a preparation for traditional Belarusian ham, and the cuisine here really holds the brand. The menu includes dishes based on ancient recipes made from farm products. A true Belarusian classic with a modern approach and great love for details. As always, we took everything at once: - Pancakes "like grandma's" with venison chops with creamy mushroom sauce - Pork knuckle with sauerkraut - Beef rib, stewed in kvass, with mashed potatoes and fried onions - Duck and chicken stuffed with prunes, spiced cherry sauce with pumpkin potato puree - And, of course, branded Lida kvass — where without it Each dish was not just delicious, but satisfying at home, with an unexpected depth of taste. Here you feel that cuisine is a part of culture, not just a way to feed. It's a very warm, warm and delicious place. Definitely a must-visit if you are in the Lead.

It's a cool place. They work on pre-order. The table was booked for 19.00 and we had two hours at our disposal. The day before visiting the restaurant, we were contacted and offered to place an order- very convenient. When ordering certain dishes, the waiters tell interesting stories, our dish was accompanied by a "fire show". The prices are standard: salads 23 rubles, hot from 28 rubles, tinctures 5 rubles for 40 g, wine of our own production also 5 rubles for 150 g. An atmospheric place.

A TRIP TO BELARUS. LIDA Kumpyak tavern in Lida Castle An atmospheric place and an interesting menu, each dish has a whole story (how beautifully and deliciously it is written)... Pan Kumpyak, the innkeeper, has gathered so many family stories together, and they are all stories from his great-grandmother, grandfather, and the residents of the village that served as a source of inspiration. The inn is located in Gediminas Castle, it is impossible to get there without armor! Pan Kumpyak or his wife, the hostess, prepares it himself... What we tasted was surprisingly tasty and original, and under the jar was performed by the charismatic Liana, the innkeeper's assistant, by the way, she was dressed as an executioner, but we were lucky, she didn't cut off our heads fortunately))) And we listened and listened about tyutekha, who is loved by both Catholics and pro-Jews, and in different ways, and about the shingle, which is the size of a bast shoe, as my grandfather punished...we were only distracted when special sounds were heard on the counter, dishes were set on fire there... We liked everything from the themed music at the entrance to the nail driven into the wall and brought from Minsk... So many details, jars, vases, and what are the family photos from the walls, one of them is Pan Kumpyak's great-grandmother... It's amazing how here in this tavern, love and respect for your family, its family values, traditions and culture have taken shape... It's very cool... Hosts, tell us about it..it's very interesting, and each dish gets even more value from the taste of history and time... Thank you! And I really want to try CRAMBAMBULA now.
