I didn't need a consultation, the procedure is safe and fast, and it doesn't require any special preparation. I think that in this case, the doctor should have just warned me that the procedure would not be performed and let me go, rewriting me for another day. Or inform them that we are now conducting a consultation, its cost is such and such.
