An experience that was divided into two parts: from the master and from the management** I signed up for a salon to dye my hair in the same tone. From the very first minutes, the master made a very pleasant impression: attentive, kind, sincerely worried about the result. While washing, she gave a relaxing head massage, carefully trimmed and beautifully styled her bangs. The service at the stage of preparation and care was excellent. However, there were difficulties with the main stage. It was not possible to completely paint over the length: there was a noticeable unpainted area, and only 80-90% of the work was done. The result was naturally disappointing. I contacted the administrator with a question about possible compensation for not completing the service, but instead of a dialogue, I was faced with a clarification of the relationship and a categorical refusal. The situation left an unpleasant aftertaste. Deciding not to ignore the issue, I asked to pass the information on to the director. The director called back very quickly: she showed maximum tact, listened attentively, apologized for the inconvenience and offered to refund 50% of the cost. Moreover, she personally came to the salon to transfer the money and discuss everything personally. Thanks to her professionalism and human attitude, we quickly found mutual understanding. Nevertheless, I want to mention a few points that I think are worth working on.: If the master sees in advance that he may not be able to cope with the task, it is worthwhile to honestly identify this at the consultation stage or redirect it to a more experienced specialist. Neither the client nor the salon should take on a job in which there is no confidence. The administrator should have responded more flexibly to customer requests. The dispute about whether there was a consultation only worsened the situation, although I arrived on time and discussed everything with the master before starting work. In general, the impression of the salon remained ambivalent, but thanks to the competent reaction of the management, it was positive. Thanks to the director for his efficiency, honesty and respectful attitude towards the client. I hope this experience will help the team build clearer processes and improve communication at all levels.
