The magnificent palace was the residence of the richest Radziwill family, the magnate family of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, whose representatives occupied the most important state, administrative and military positions in the XV—XVIII centuries... It was the Radziwills who were the first in the country to receive the princely title of the Holy Roman Empire. The castle is quite large, there are many halls with beautiful luxurious interiors, a lot of portraits and art objects... In my opinion, the most interesting halls of the castle complex are: -The Starry Hall - with a star on the gilded ceiling, it used to be the prince's office. - The Golden Hall is a symbol of the wealth of the Radziwills. - Hunting hall with trophies and weapons of the XVI–XVIII centuries. There are many hunting trophies on its walls: stuffed animals and birds, deer and elk antlers. - The ballroom — the music of royal receptions, crystal chandeliers, mirrors and moldings were played here... It is better to book an excursion in advance, there may not be a free guide on weekends and holidays. We had to take only audio-visual ones (upon presentation of a passport)
