At the very beginning of Lenin pedestrian street, we were greeted by a Pinsk-branded street sculpture - a bronze figure of Pinchuk in a straw hat, characteristically bending his little finger. Pinchuk was the name given to the natives of Pinsk, and often to the natives of Polesie. But our guide preferred to call them poleshooks. Our guide, an indigenous Poleshuk woman, told us a lot about the special local patriotism of the Poleshuk people and their special character. The inscription "Pa-pershae, I am from Pinsk..." ("First of all, I am from Pinsk...) is engraved at the bottom of the figure. It turns out that the most important signs of the real Pinchuk are the curved little finger and the words "First of all, I am from Pinsk ...", with which he always begins the answer to any question asked of him, thereby proudly emphasizing his origin. According to our poleshuchka, such a peculiar way of counting off her fingers has been preserved by poleshukes, and even by herself, to this day. You need to say hello to Pinchuk and make a wish. A popular tourist pastime is to rub Pinchuk's nose (his nose sparkles, so it was polished) and shake hands (they were also polished to a shine).

Colorful indigenous Pinchuk stands at the beginning of the main pedestrian street of Pinsk. It looks attractive, and you just want to walk along the embankment.
