Good Afternoon, Everyone!!! Cuba has its own atmosphere!!! We decided for a long time and were going to Cuba, we read a lot of reviews and watched videos. Only a long flight stopped us. But we decided to go on vacation to the island of freedom, Cuba. It's really a long flight, it's a pity that it's only from Moscow, if it were from St. Petersburg, it would definitely be an hour faster. I must say right away that the hotel is quite attractive for its top four relative to hotels in Cuba. And here we are in Cuba, the weather greeted us superbly!!! We arrived at the hotel and checked in right away, we went into the room, water was dripping from the ceiling in the bathroom, you could even say it was pouring. We were moved to the 3rd floor. The room faced the canal. Somehow I didn't go in. We went to the reception, were given fifty dollars and we were settled on the same floor with a magnificent view of the ocean!!! In bathrooms, as it turned out, many people have problems with hot water, not everyone has it. The pressure is also not great. But we were lucky to have hot water in our room. The rooms are really old, but the bed linen and towels are always clean. We spoiled the cleaning lady with all kinds of gifts, respectively, she gave us swans, elephants, etc. from towels. They write a lot about food that it is poor and not tasty, but on the contrary, it is better for me than in Turkey or Egypt, there are no specific additives, everything is natural. Yes, there is not much variety, but we were always full. Of course, it was not very convenient to stand behind the fried eggs and omelet with a lot of people, so there was a queue. It's somehow not thought out, we would have put at least two people to prepare this dish. The rest, as it turned out, is a five-star or four-star hotel, the food is the same everywhere since the hotels are state-owned and the distribution of products is identical. So if you're going straight for food, then it's not in this country. To our great surprise, the Wi-Fi was both in the room and they could easily call Russia via video, and even on the beach, although the beach was not stable. There are 6 bars on site, the main one is open 24/7. The ocean is just super, it's such a different color, you can't describe it at all, you have to see it. I don't recommend going into a storm. There are a lot of jellyfish. When there is a calm, there are no small fish swimming, and even then there are not many. Catamaran and sailboat rides are available on the beach for free. If you are facing the ocean, then you can walk 1.5 kilometers to your right and feed the pelicans, 1 dollar and grandpa will give you pieces of fish and gloves and all the pelicans around you are provided with gorgeous photos. You can also eat lobsters at Al Capone's cafe. The entrance to the ocean is also beautifully sloping, with sand and seashell. The ocean temperature was also a comfortable 26-28 degrees. The territory is green, lots of palm trees. There are rope and iron swings all around. Be sure to go to Havana. It's also a very interesting trip. Despite the long flight, I really enjoyed the trip!!! Take your tablet with you, watch a lot of movies, have a good mood and go ahead on Freedom Island!!!!

The hotel is located almost at the very end, you will have to take a taxi or bus to get there, it is not very convenient. The hotel is tired, like almost everything in Cuba, but due to the time zone change and the many excursions, we hardly stayed in it. When the disco started, we were already knocked out to sleep. 😀 The food in all of Cuba is very modest, specifically we didn't have it in abundance, there were queues, but I don't remember that we were always hungry, there was always everything in the bar, Pina colada tasteless for example. Delicious dairy products, cheese and ice cream are just a cannon and surprisingly there are almost no fruits. I've never seen animation, maybe it was. Nice beach, pelicans arrive in the morning. 7 out of 14 days there were strong waves that did not even go into the water, there were only children in the pools. You can't buy anything in stores, take everything with you, they have nothing and they need it themselves. The staff is good, the cleaning was done.Shampoos and shower gels in the rooms are of terrible quality, you'd better bring your own, otherwise you won't be able to comb your hair. I recommend Havana with the Tropicana show, and a 2-day guided tour (to Trinidad, Santa Clara, Cien Fuegos). We've never regretted it at all. There will be more or less decent shops in Havana. If you want to buy something, take it there, there will be no more such variety anywhere. Rum can be bought even at the hotel, cigars are more of a choice in Havana. I do not advise you to take coffee there, we bought it then barely drank (tasteless) magnets that fell apart like clay in a suitcase (the quality sucks) The only thing that was good and tasty was either a pastille or fruit marmalade (sold in bars like gold), everyone liked it. We also went on a dolphin tour, and we didn't really like it. We also went boating on the river and horseback riding, which was fun and interesting. We tried to hitchhike to the nearest town, but no one took us and there is nothing to do in the city itself, there is poverty and ruins. If you only want to be in a hotel and relax, then look for a newer one. This one will be boring.

The hotel is generally quite good, with a large territory, various pools, tennis tables and courts, and a magnificent beach. The only thing is that the hotel is a little tired already, it would need to be slightly resuscitated (restored, renovated, repaired, patched up). The door wouldn't close in the room, so I had to move in. Apart from the beach, there are 6 excellent bars with different types of coffee, alcohol and other free drinks, and a good restaurant with delicious food. Alcoholic drinkers (in the good sense of the word) can move between these bars all day long. In the restaurant, a black waiter, aptly nicknamed Obama by the Russians, regularly came up and poured wine into glasses. And the hotel has a funny modest shop where I bought myself some calabashes. In general, a four-room hotel, you can live. And the local Obama is doing a great job!
