The most beautiful restaurant I've been to in Almaty! The Kazakh-only dishes were the most savory I've had in the three months I've been in Kazakhstan. The fine art and traditional decor made the atmosphere feel elegant, yet welcoming. Excellent wait service and decently priced menu.

While in Kazakhstan for a concert by the Ramstein band, I decided to spend my free time before the flight with benefit. I visited the National Museum, immersed myself in local traditions and customs. After the museum, I wanted to try the national cuisine in one of the best restaurants in the city. A local resident recommended the Syndyk restaurant, located just 170 meters from the museum. I was greeted with friendliness and hospitality at the entrance. An oriental-type girl dressed in a national costume warmly greeted me in two languages. Going inside, I found out that there were two empty tables left, despite Friday and the ethnic concert taking place inside the restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the service and the taste of the dishes. The portions were huge, and the food was incredibly delicious. I was especially impressed with the water that was brought immediately after the order. Half an hour later, a musical show began using traditional instruments. The atmosphere was amazing! The most amazing thing was that even with a full house, there was silence and tranquility. No one made any noise, did not interfere with other guests enjoying music and food. Everything was done at the highest level, leaving an unforgettable impression. Thanks to the staff and organizers of the concert for such a unique opportunity to feel the spirit of Kazakhstan!

An incredible place! It's just amazing! I liked absolutely everything! From the interior, the atmosphere, the audience and of course the food! On Saturday evening, artists perform with national songs and musical instruments. Immerse yourself in the incredible atmosphere of a Kazakh yurt with a great dinner. I really liked that many people come with their families. It's difficult to single out favorites from the food, absolutely everything is delicious! If you want to plunge into the culture and make a gastronomic trip around Kazakhstan, you are definitely here!

The Sandyq restaurant in the center of Alma Ata made an incredible impression on us as guests of Kazakhstan. Amazing authentic atmosphere, a variety of Kazakh cuisine (conceals everything in your mouth… from mutton to traditional baursaki) and such gentle service with waiters in national clothes! Everything is a delight! It is important to keep in mind that the restaurant is halal, which does not involve alcohol consumption, which creates family warmth and immersion in the process of communication (although a glass of good wine with lamb is sometimes correct and on the subject).

We recently visited the Kazakh cuisine restaurant Sandyq and were very impressed. The atmosphere is immediately inviting: a cozy interior with national patterns, soft light and calm music create the feeling that you are visiting a large and hospitable family. All the staff are in stylized costumes, carpets everywhere, authentic chandeliers, etc. This is a museum restaurant, many antique household items and clothes were used in the interior. There are separate guided tours of the restaurant milking visitors. In the evenings, singers and musicians perform. The repertoire is also national. Everything looks very impressive. The second floor is more comfortable, you look at all the beauty from above, there are no people, there is no fuss. Also on the second floor there are separate rooms with comfortable beds, pillows, you can lie down, relax in a private setting. We ordered smoked bacon - a beautiful serving on tiny tortillas, very tasty! Smoked horse meat in cream sauce is very tender and delicious! We also ordered a roast on a stone with a show program from the chef! It's very cool: the chef roasts meat on a stone in front of you, the girl accompanies it with a story about the history of the dish! It looks impressive, but it's also delicious, of course. We also took fresh vegetables with kurt sauce, koumiss and shubat. I definitely recommend this place to those who want to try the national Kazakh cuisine and not smell like food, as is often the case in national Asian establishments. The price tag here is above average, but it's worth it! Thanks a lot to Bekarus, who served us, everything was great!

The cuisine is very good — delicious, satisfying, homely. Our Kazakh national dish besbarmak was cooked just fine. Snacks, warm salads — everything is on the level, the quality is felt. In some cases, it was unclear what kind of product it was made from. Alcohol is not served at all, except for koumiss. It is worth visiting the restaurant as a national museum, as well as to get to the musical show of traditional musical instruments. But I wouldn't go a second time.
