It's very beautiful at the top. You will have to climb the stairs. There is a very strong wind at the top, about 20 m/s, but the photos are very beautiful. It is better to use a camera if there is one. The phone may be blown away by the wind. Wear both a hat and gloves on top! The wind!

It's very beautiful, but the wind is strong. It is better to climb to the top along the path, from there the view is fascinating. There are a lot of souvenirs downstairs, Parking is paid. They persistently offer to buy a pack of candles.

Beautiful view from above and amazing little church. The main thing is to have the strength to climb up here to see the incredible view from above.

A very good place, an 800-year-old temple, a mountain lake. And of course, the air is mountainous, and it is much cooler than in Yerevan. You can swim in the lake. There are restaurants and cafes.

The views of the lake are simply amazing! Just for that, it's already worth climbing up to the monastery 😍

Sevanavank Monastery and Lake Sevan. A harsh, cold place. Even in summer it's cool here, and the water temperature is +17 degrees. The place is purely touristic. If you want spiritual silence, it is better to drive on for 30 km and get to the Hayravank monastery.

A picturesque place. Climbing up the many steps to Sevanovank, you can enjoy an incredible view of Sevan. The monasteries themselves are not very remarkable, let's just say there are many of them all over Armenia. You can put a candle in temples, but it is better to buy it near the monastery, and not at the foot of the stairs, it is much more expensive there. Souvenirs are located along the length of the stairs, and Mir cards are accepted in several places. The toilet near the temple is paid, the visit to the monastery is free.

The cape itself is amazing, the view of the lake is 360 degrees, there is a place to meditate. The temple itself is modest, austere, and dark. The climb is not the most convenient, if you get into the season at all, probably do not disperse on the narrow steps.

We were taken on an excursion to Lake Sevan and we came to the monastery, words cannot describe the magical beauty that opens onto the lake and the peace next to the shrine, which preserves a thousand-year history. We were at a service on a day off, and we heard a church choir. And they saw the greatness in the temple.

Before the lake was crushed, the peninsula was an island, it was separated from the mainland by a 3-kilometer strait, so fishermen and fugitive criminals mainly settled on it. At the time when the monks chose the island, a stone wall was built encircling it with a watchtower and a small gate. Inside the wall there were four churches, cells for monks and numerous outbuildings.

There are a lot of people, if you want to avoid queues, it's better to arrive early in the morning or on weekdays. The view of Lake Sevan from above is mesmerizing!

This temple is evidence of the ancient Armenians. Very important evidence has been preserved about how the Armenians created and lived. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to learn and get acquainted with the life and activities of Armenians. I recommend

Another interesting church that towers over the north. Very old. You need to be ready to walk high up the stairs. And, be sure to keep in mind the presence of strong winds. If it is strong, then the higher it is, the stronger and colder it blows.

The monastery is located on the shore, surrounded by the expanses of the lake, which, by the way, is very large. In April, it is still cool and there is practically no greenery. The architecture, as in the whole country, is strict and at the same time monolithic and unshakable, it will stand for the same amount of time. It is better to choose the time for swimming closer to August. Purely for the sake of Sevanak, I do not recommend going, but I recommend the intermediate stage to Dilijan :)

The temple itself is beautiful, but its location is even more beautiful, being near it you can observe Lake Sevan completely, as much as the eyes see of course. I definitely recommend visiting all visitors.

It was December 27th. It was snowing. Fog. Unfortunately, nothing is visible. I'm lowering my rating because I was upset by the huge number of touts, it's just impossible to pass calmly. The feeling of calmness and enjoyment from walking is lost. Admission to the temple itself is free. Parking is paid. 1000 AMD in cash, 1200 AMD by card (payment at the cafe). It seems that we were deceived with the cost of parking.

We were here at the end of October 2024. Monastery on the shore of Sevan, beautiful view. Nearby is the writer's house, a Soviet-era building in the style of constructivism, which is also interesting to look at.

This is an iconic place, which is depicted on millions of postcards and paintings, an ancient church and a view of Lake Baikal.Sevan is a must-visit for everyone who comes to Armenia. To take a photo on her background. It takes about an hour to drive from Yerevan. It should be added that Sevan is located at an altitude of 1 km from sea level, and it is always much colder and warmer in Sevanavank than in the capital of Armenia, especially in winter.
