Well, what can I say. Lake Sevan and this monastery are the program points of all tourist cooperatives in Yerevan. They bring everyone here. Imagine my disappointment when I saw the situation - dirty, not cleaned, everything was trampled by horses and, attention, polluted with horse manure. Why horses are allowed in this holy place is still not clear. Well, it would be fine, you know, there were horses, but three half-killed nags and the same horsemen on them do not decorate the place. Some shady people are selling church candles... In the evening, they even put their big guy in the doorway and wouldn't let him in without candles... Come on Armenians, come on businessmen!!! The shores of the lake have left an indelible impression - dirty, destroyed, everything is in decline, in a word - the heart of Armenia. Don't go to the lake, you'll be disappointed.

We were with a guide on a Monday in December, there are only a few people besides us. The height is 1900m. I really liked it. The temple of the 9th century. The view of the lake and the mountains is simply amazing, no photos convey what you can see there live. The monasteries themselves are not very remarkable, let's just say there are many of them all over Armenia. You can put a candle in temples, but it is better to buy it near the monastery, and not at the foot of the stairs, it is much more expensive there. Souvenirs are located along the length of the stairs, and Mir cards are accepted in several places. The toilet near the temple is paid, the visit to the monastery is free.

The feeling of calmness and enjoyment from walking is lost. Admission to the temple itself is free. Parking is paid. 1000 AMD in cash, 1200 AMD by card (payment at the cafe). It seems that we were deceived with the cost of parking.
