A very good hotel for families with children. There is a small swimming pool, which will be quite enough for children. It's too small for adults if you like to swim. The food is very good and delicious. There is always enough food and you can order it separately at lunch. Very tasty orange chacha on the bar. The staff is nice and pleasant. The "director of the beach" Dmitry is always pleasant and responsive. Through it, you can sign up for excursions, fishing and even paragliding. The sea is always clean and warm. After swimming 300 meters into the sea, you can see dolphins swimming nearby. We had a family vacation for 2 years in a row. Nearby is the old Gagra embankment, restaurants.

A rather attractive small hotel, clean and calm. The staff is responsive and pleasant to communicate with. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. I haven't seen polished furniture in hotels for a long time :). The bed linen is snow-white, it was changed 2 times in 9 nights, the mattresses and pillows are comfortable. The rooms are cleaned daily. I didn't have enough sockets by the beds and it's not clear why the refrigerator is in the bedside table (it's hot for him there :)). There are no slippers and bathrobes in the standard rooms, and the mini-bar is empty. There is a cooler with drinking water on the ground floor. The restaurant may not have a very large assortment of dishes, but it has everything you need and is quite tasty. There is no coffee machine, coffee can be bought at the bar. There is a beautiful nature around. This year, a lot of work is being done to restore beauty and comfort in parks. It's close to the sea (my husband counted 172 steps :)), in June the sea was clean, the beach was free, there were a lot of sunbeds. A new hotel is being built near the beach (it didn't hurt to relax). Across the street, on the square, there are shops, a canteen, a pharmacy and many more different outlets. They like "cash" more, but they accept cards. There is also the final bus stop, you can get to the market or take a ride to Pitsunda. There is not much entertainment, just a quiet and pleasant stay. Thanks to the hotel staff for their hospitality and cordiality.

We rested from 05/25/2024 to 06/01/2024 at the Sunrise Garden Hotel. I liked everything! That's all there is to it. The location is gorgeous, royal places are within walking distance. Nearby there are shops, canteens, cafes. The hotel itself is clean, new, the staff is constantly washing something, wiping it so that it glitters and burns! Excellent breakfasts, if you want to have a snack after - excellent pizza for 500 rubles (0.5 kg, if anything, for three people per eye). Cold beer/wine is always available at the bar/juice and enjoy on the sun beds by the pool or at the tables. It's 2 minutes to the sea, although there are no umbrellas, you bring the sun beds yourself, a new hotel is being built on the first line, cement trucks and other equipment often arrive. But in general it didn't bother. The sea is clear, there are three cripples on the beach - well, it's a thrill! The rooms are cozy, there is almost no audibility at all, sometimes it felt like we were alone, although judging by the breakfast guests, it was almost a full load. Everyone is polite, courteous (including guests), no rowdies were noticed during the week, no one bothered. The girls at the reception are caring and responsive. Such cordiality has not been seen for a long time. Who doubts to go or not - it's not worth it, if I'm not mistaken, the hotel is already on the stop until the end of summer, draw conclusions!

We had a rest with the whole family in July 2024.
1) I want to say thank you to the management and staff very much, for the warm welcome, excellent food (like at home), for cleanliness in the rooms (invisible and imperceptible cleanliness fairies regularly cleaned our room, and changed towels and bed linen without any requests).
2) the hotel is not big (and this is a plus, because there is not a large crowd of people) and is located 1 min from the sea, beautiful territory , the pool is regularly cleaned, private beach, sun beds , umbrellas.
3) Gorgeous views from the windows of the rooms , silence , beauty , cleanliness. This is what you need for a vacation!!!!
Thanks a lot to the girls at the reception, they suggested on excursions which first of all you need to visit !!!!
We are very satisfied with the rest, and most importantly. Of our whole family, 6 people did not get sick, ( because the climate is different, water, and food) everything went super !!!
The very location of Old Gagra is a resort area with beautiful and green parks, so many palm trees, conifers.

We are currently staying at this hotel from 06/26/2024 to 07/6/2024.I will start with the location of the hotel, it is on the 5th floor, the sea is 50 meters away, there is a park nearby to walk and a cafe, the advantages end there, 2 adults 2 children under 4 years old gave 145,000 rubles for a deluxe half-board room.The room itself is modern, but tired, (the handle on the door flew out endlessly)The carpet asks for dry cleaning.Food for 3 ku with a minus, for 10 days of rest, we never saw fish,beef was a couple of times, mostly chicken, they try to make everything cheaper, steaks were written, in fact the cutlet is not clear from what, stuffed peppers were with rice most of the meat is not clear, whether soy or bread.generally not tasty.It's summer outside, and they have pickles instead of fresh vegetables.There are also few fruits, and those are cut into pieces.A separate shame is to sell pieces of honey cake at the bar, but not delicious rolls for dinner, please, butter and cheese of the cheapest quality, omelet every morning, no variety.The hotel itself is not big and pretty, but because of the price and quality, I do not want to return here.I hope the owners of the hotel will read my review and take action.I will also add about the territory, it is small, there is one pool, it is deep, this is a plus, but a minus that there is no pool for kids.There is no animation yet, it's not a minus at all, also a children's room.And the chandelier they see is flashing like in a horror movie in the evenings

Location - 50 meters to the sea through the alley, very convenient, close to the embankment, but it's a long walk to the parties in the evening on it. There are umbrellas and sun beds on the beach - it is very convenient. A good hotel, we had a rest with my husband and child 1g2 m, arrived earlier, had the opportunity and we were settled earlier, given a cot for children. The cleaning is good, the food is delicious, there is variety, someone likes it, someone does not - this is normal. The pool is deep, if you can't swim, you can't swim any further, you're upset, but there's nothing you can do. The staff is kind and helpful. If you do not stay for breakfast before check-out, they offer a lunch box with you. We lived in a room on the 6th floor with a view of the sea, the buzz, the room size was excellent, there was a place for a small one to run, look out the window, the lighting was thoughtful and very convenient - thanks for that!

I really liked the hotel, the places around the hotel are very beautiful, close to shops with a minimum set of products, cafes with delicious food and sea views. Nice hotel, clean pool, friendly staff, delicious and varied buffet. The only drawback is that we saved a lot on lighting. There are few sockets in the rooms, few lamps. And a gorgeous chandelier in the lobby, which was so advertised on social media.During our stay, it was never turned on. So it's dark there too. I took off my star just for that. Everything else is fine.

I rested for 3 days on August 5-7, these days were wonderful! The hotel is wonderful, clean, cozy, beautiful, delicious! The staff is attentive, unobtrusive, will answer any questions, friendly and polite. We rested in July for 12 days. The hotel is lovely, cozy and clean, daily cleaning. Bed linen and towels were changed 3 times in 12 days. Separate towels for the sea, they can be changed on request. The nature is gorgeous and the sea too, there are a lot of sunbeds on the beach, there are always a lot of free ones. You can always ride a banana and a scooter on the beach, many boats come up and offer a boat trip. The breakfasts in the hotels are super, the choice is great, no one left hungry, there is a huge selection in the bar. All the staff is very helpful!!! You can order laundry, the cost is 200 rubles. There is a bar on the beach, next to the Kavkaz restaurant with a beautiful and modern interior, delicious food, where you can have lunch, the price tag is good. There is a magnificent dining room on Gagarin Square, if you go further into the gorge, you will find a Tandoor cafe, it is small, but a huge menu selection and a good price, and most importantly a wonderful view of the mountains! We will definitely come to Sunrise again!!!!

I liked the hotel, I would definitely go back there again. Breakfast buffet (for 2-3 floors from 8:00 to 9:00, for floors above from 9:00 to 10:00). Every day the range of dishes changed, the dishes were updated when they ran out. The staff is polite and pleasant. They will always help and prompt you. At the reception, we asked the receptionist to call a taxi, she helped and the taxi turned out to be cheaper than when we ordered it ourselves.
The rooms are good. Cleaning every day (bed linen is changed once every 4 days). They give out 2 towels per person, which can be taken to the beach. The only thing is very poor sound insulation. When the neighbors moved in next to us, it was very audible how hard they slammed the doors. And their conversations can be heard as they walk down the corridor. When people are in the rooms, it is inaudible. It is the slamming of doors and conversations that are heard. If you don 't sleep for a long time in the morning , they will work like alarm clocks 😅
The air conditioner always worked, the view from the balcony is beautiful. There is a dryer on the balcony. There is no kettle in the room, but it is given out at the reception.
The on-site swimming pool is also good. They were afraid that they could catch rotovirus, but this did not happen.
The hotel grounds are cleaned every minute, the floors are all shiny.
Once the electricity was turned off for about 5 minutes. I think it was due to a thunderstorm.
The sea is 2-3 minutes away, there are free sun beds. The sea is clear

We are currently resting at the Sunrise Hotel in Gagra. We are thrilled! Many thanks to the hotel staff, Svetlana, Rada, Julia and so on. Everyone is wonderful! The cook cooks deliciously, at home, you'll lick your fingers!
The location is right in the park, 2 steps to the sea, near almost all the sights. The pool is warm. The rooms are comfortable, everything is thought out. If you need a kettle, bathrobes, slippers, you can take all this at the reception for a small fee. The hotel itself is clean and beautiful. A cozy interior, there are recreation areas and so on. It needs to be washed, the wonderful housewives took it away , washed it and hung it up! At the moment - 200 rubles. We were greeted with a glass of semi-sweet red wine, it was nice. They said we should wait until 14 o'clock, we were in no hurry. And the number was given earlier - again, it's nice! The bar is open until 22 o'clock and the girls prepare delicious coffee here. I personally got hooked on coffee - Oriental style. Thanks a lot to Svetlana for the coffee, she took my wishes into account.
The bed is comfortable, the bed is snow-white, we slept like marmots.
The only downside is, well, it's more of a recommendation or suggestion on nutrition. Since there is not much place to eat around, and often people come in the evening, we need to come up with something with a kitchen for the evening. For example, orders are accepted for the evening until about 15 o'clock. I didn't have time, there's not much to eat in the evening. And the cook works until 19 o'clock. And in the evening, at 20h, 21h or later, sometimes you want to have dinner and not go anywhere.
And so everything is fine! I recommend trying a set of chachi at the bar, an interesting taste!

Unfortunately, the restaurant is small, so there is even a recommendation on the time of visit, scheduled by floor. But this is not a minus. When the hotel was fully filled, in September, there were no queues at the tables. It is better not to come to the opening (opening at 8:00), but closer to 9 o'clock. There is a bar, a small clean pool. The rooms are cleaned regularly, and towels are changed too. There is a private beach (3 minutes walk) with free sun beds and an umbrella. The beach is pebbly, there are pebbles in the sea. But there is a nuance, the mountain river Joequara flows nearby, so in rainy weather there may not be very clean water, but in dry weather there is no problem. Across the street there is a square with shops, near several high-quality cafes ("Old Gagra", Tea house "Abaata"). I recommend the hotel. I will gather in Gagra, first of all I will consider this hotel. Although the price tag is not too democratic (8,500 rubles for a standard in September, with breakfast), it is also not sky-high, as in the neighboring pretentious "Abaat" (14,000 rubles, without food, in September).

The old Gagra, where the hotel is located, reminded me of my childhood, the Soviet Union) I did not like the new Gagra very much...some kind of market...
On excursions: the caves of Mount Athos and Lake Ritz - well, I really liked it. But I would recommend not taking a big bus, but organizing a separate small group with a personal guide. So that you have time to stay on the lake, go boating.
However, there were honey tastings on the tour - sooooo delicious, alcohol - the cognac drink is amazing. Therefore, I also recommend that you include proven places with these products in the list of stops)
Abkhazia is amazingly beautiful. I wish this country prosperity, and the locals good and do not treat the Russians badly)

If your child needs hot water or you want to drink tea in the room, then go down to the 1st floor there is a cooler with hot water.
A huge bed frame with sharp corners that you can tear off all your legs.
Ventilation is weak, hot water on the 6th floor does not always have time to heat up.
The park area is running, for children it would be possible to hang a couple of swings, a modest slide and a couple of simulators.
Well, the cherry on the cake is the elevator, because during the week of stay it did not work for 4 days.
If you want, go up after breakfast, dinner, the sea to the 6th floor with the children.
Well, when leaving, of course, the elevator did not work, when asked to help lower it, they replied that there was no porter, as you want, so let it down, we cannot help. A suitcase the size of L from the 6th floor should be lowered to a woman, aren't you ashamed?!
We will not return here anymore and I will not definitely recommend it.

One of the best vacations in spring! There's nothing to complain about. Excellent breakfasts, wonderful beds, such as we have seen only in hotels of higher stardom, a really gorgeous warm pool on the street. We didn't have a single question. The territory of the hotel is small, but it is so conveniently located that you can walk endlessly along the Old Gagra embankment. On the pontoon. To fish. On the contrary, a couple of shops for everything you need and a minibus to the Gagra market for 50 rubles. There will be few questions when visiting in the summer, when the whole hotel is full. Some of the rooms overlook the construction site and the road with a noisy electricity generator for a couple of hours. He works from 12 to 14 o'clock. But it's only a couple of hours a day. It is better to get into rooms with a view of the entrance and the pool, side sea view. We lived in such a place. And they loved to sit at a table on the balcony. The beach is nearby, it belongs to the hotel, but we don't need it in March. The hotel is very thoughtful, there is cleanliness everywhere. I recommend it for all 99 rubles at least!

Great hotel. The rooms are large and bright. My balcony is from room 504 with the best view of the pool and the sea. The rooms are cleaned daily, soap, shampoo, gel were constantly added. The breakfast is a buffet, not Turkey, but there is plenty to choose from, everything is very tasty. The pool is hot, I visited the hotel at an ambient temperature of 14-16 degrees, so it was very nice to take a dip here, although I plunged into the sea, it was warmer in the ice hole for epiphany :)). There is a problem with electricity in Abkhazia, for this reason, a generator was turned on there after 20.00, be careful when choosing rooms, if possible, do not book from the generator, the roar is terrible, all residents complained that it was impossible to sleep.

Отель очень достойный.Очень уютный, чистый и красивый. Персонал доброжелательный и отзывчивый. Уютные номера, фен, холодильник, кондиционер.Чайник по запросу на ресепшене. Просто находка для нас этот отель. Завтраки шведский стол. Очень вкусные и разнообразные. Можно заказать комплексный обед 700 рублей. Мы брали один обед на двоих , так как один предпочитает первое , а другой второе. Порции огромные , одному обед точно не осилить. Ужин 650 рублей , но уже шведский стол. Тоже разнообразие блюд, Всегда есть выпечка, фрукты. Пляж в 1 мин от отеля, свои лежаки, полотенца пляжные есть в номере. Если думаете, ехать ли сюда, то однозначно да!

There are also no toothbrushes, which was very surprising.

We lived in Sunrise at the end of September. I liked everything very much, the hotel is quite European class, very modern and comfortable. We took a room with a balcony overlooking the park, the sea and the mountains. Therefore, the landscape was simply magnificent.
We were in Abkhazia for the first time, we chose it for a long time, and probably it was the best option. Nearby there is something to see (castle, ancient church,), where to walk (seaside Park) and where to eat delicious. The hotel has breakfasts for every taste - it was possible to have an easy snack and quite a hearty breakfast. We just returned from vacation, still under the impression. We have been going to Abkhazia for more than ten years for sure. We have repeatedly stayed in Sunrise, so this time we chose it. The hotel is new, not killed, the furniture is new, a comfortable sleep on a good mattress, good bed linen.
With a view, that's how lucky you are. We also lived on the sixth floor with a gorgeous view, and lived on the lower floors with a view of the sheds, the former NKVD building. This time, the third floor, a beautiful view of the park, the sea, panoramic Windows, even lying on the bed you can see the sea. We usually go with breakfast included, because we like to have lunch and dinner in our favorite place ARAUCARIA, but more on that later.
The breakfasts at the hotel are good, delicious, there are plenty to choose from, quite diverse. They clean the tables quickly and treat the guests respectfully. Those who remember Turkey or something else are surprised, everything is not enough for them, it seems that they are eating at home in the morning and they have 200 dishes on the menu. There is a bar, alcohol, drinks, coffee. The margin on wine is not large, in other cafes and restaurants in Abkhazia, as a rule, it is double.
The pool is cleaned every day. We came repeatedly in the cold season, the water is well heated, excellent. For comparison, next to the Abbot, in the pool, in the cold, it is impossible to swim, the temperature is maximum 20, in Sunrise 30. I don't swim well, the pool is too deep for me.
Room cleaning is daily, for three. It was very unpleasant when we arrived, the trash can in the toilet was full, there was hair everywhere. The garbage was taken out the next day, and the hair remained until the end of our vacation. Vacuuming is not high-quality, the balcony was not cleaned at all. Upon arrival, the drain in the shower was already clogged, they said, they immediately cleaned it.
Shower supplies were replenished daily. Beach towels are provided.
There are few outlets. The rooms are standard, there is no kettle.
I really didn't want to meet the administrator, the malicious little Lily, who spoiled every visit, fortunately she was not there, maybe the management still heard and fired her. Now there are well-mannered, friendly girls at the reception.
Nearby, the adjacent territory was put in order, clean, the grass was mowed, whitewashed, entertainment for children was installed, exercise equipment was installed. In general, the location of the hotel is excellent, the park area.
Three minutes to the beach, and a leisurely walk of five minutes maximum. It's comfortable to walk through the park. The beach is urban, but the hotel has equipped a canopy, umbrellas, sun loungers. Small, large pebbles, sand, comfortable. It is advisable to have shoes for swimming, for some reason the pebbles in Abkhazia are different, it hurts to walk on them, those who often go to our sea and to Abkhazia will understand. The water here is amazing, always turquoise, even in a storm.
I certainly recommend the hotel!
I can't help but mention the favorite place where we always go to eat, for many years, ARAUCARIA. It is located in a park, on the embankment, where there is a large paved pier, almost opposite; behind the Abbot's hotel. Previously, we also visited the Abbot's restaurant, but the price tag there is fabulous, the food, if we're lucky, we don't go there anymore. Araucaria has been working for ages, an employee who perfectly roasts meat on the grill, we always eat dishes on the grill. If you don't try the Tsarsky cheese pie, then your vacation is not complete. We haven't eaten better than this pie in many years of our trips. Yes, in general, everything is very tasty!

The hotel is relatively new, the staff is friendly, friendly, the room is cleaned every day., the room has everything you need , the kitchen is excellent , the breakfast buffet is good, the choice is good, you were not hungry, lunch and dinner are ordered for payment, 700 , 750 rubles. The portions are large and everything is always delicious and beautifully served. The territory is small, but right next to the hotel there is a well-maintained park with benches, a small playground. And this year they started to equip a large square, next year it will be gorgeous. There is also a swimming pool on the territory, not large, but clean, in rainy weather we swam in it superbly. It takes two minutes to crawl to the sea. In general, everything is fine in this hotel, I do not want to change it.

I won't go into details, but I didn't really want to solve the issues, I didn't even want to approach her. I had previously read reviews about her, people were also not happy with her behavior, so we got her on the day of arrival. We arrived a little earlier, 2 hours before arrival, we were offered to pay extra so that we could check in earlier, because the room is ready, we refused, it's better to get acquainted with the area at this time, take a walk. Although in other hotels, without any additional charges, we were checked in if the room was ready. The room was given with a view of the road and the construction site, although when booking it was indicated with a view of the sea or pool. It's 5 minutes to the sea, but there is a construction site all around, new hotels are being built. The territory of the hotel is sooo small. There was not even a tea station in the room, only 2 glasses, although there were three of us with an extra seat. So the room is fresh, the renovation is not bad, modern. On the plus side, good buffet breakfasts. The location of the hotel, staraya Gagra (outskirts) near all the sights, a park with gorgeous palm trees, Prince Odelburgsky castle, Gagprish restaurant, embankment. The pool is not large, but warm and deep. Beautiful views. I do not want to return to this hotel!

Отдых. Апрель 2023. Плюсы. Расположение (утопает в зелени). Рядом автобусная остановка. На станции есть магазин. 2 кафе рядом. В отеле чисто. Уютно. Вкусные завтраки. А как поют птицы. Умиротворение.
Минусы. Маленькая территория. Маленький бассейн. Не приветливая администратор (лицо отеля), в баре и работники кафе намного приятнее. Огромный минус завтрак по расписанию, нижние этажи с 8-30 до 9-30, верхние с 9-30 до 10-30. На отдыхе хочется чувствовать себя расслабление. На пляж идти через стройку. Рядом вытекает горная речка, соответственно вода холоднее в море, но это частое явление в Гаграх.
