A historical place, perfectly preserved. We were accompanied by a personal guide. Admission is 50 euros per person. The territory is large, with many locations, rooms, and pavilions. It takes at least two hours for a complete detour. Numerous tourists. But the palace is worth it, it's impressive.

A gorgeous palace with a gorgeous history. The place smells as much as possible of several great eras. I was impressed by the territory of the palace, the chambers of the eunuchs (as well as the story of that era) and, of course, the unreal treasure chamber.. I strongly advise you to visit. This palace is beautiful not only as a filming location for a Magnificent Century. He's great on his own.

You can't be in Istanbul and not visit the palace! Of course, I had to stand in a huge queue for a ticket, but for good reason! Before entering, of course, the guides offer their services for 60 ,50 euros, when we refused, we were offered for 30 euros in 2 hours, we refused again and for good reason! Why? Because we spent 6 hours in the palace at our own pace, I can imagine how we would rush around the palace in 2 hours! So everything is in order : 1. The queue is big but moving fast, we stood for 30 minutes. The entrance ticket costs 2000 liras (as of April 25, it is 4600 liras) 2. then we went to get an audio guide (it's free, we left our passport as a deposit), set it up in Russian and go ahead 3. It's not too much to walk around the territory, we enjoyed the beauty and scale of this city in the city 4. When leaving, of course, you want to eat and drink coffee, but you should not take coffee from the stall at the exit, which is not very tasty, but expensive coffee! 5. Our walk took 6 hours, which we enjoyed and immersed ourselves in the great Ottoman Empire 6. Entrance from the harem is charged additionally. 7. The photos are gorgeous.

It's beautiful, it's an interesting story. The customs were alien to me, but it was interesting to listen to the guide. I didn't watch the Magnificent Century, and according to the guide, I was bored. My wife watched this series and she was interested to see the filming locations.

This is the place from which I would suggest an introduction to the history of Istanbul. Very interesting buildings and exhibits. There is one negative and it is very fat - the price for entrance tickets is very high, and it is better to go here as part of an excursion and in the morning if you want to understand something and not jostle with other tourists. The audio guide in Russian is so-so...

R- disappointment. 2,400 liras per tourist (400 per Turk) is a completely unjustified amount. Yes, it's a clean park, yes, it's atmospheric, yes, there are a couple of interesting exhibitions, but that's it. They give an audio guide, but half of the recordings are in any dialect, but not in Russian. Fans of the magnificent century will be disappointed, the expectation does not correspond to reality at all.

Topkapi is the pearl of Istanbul, where every tourist needs to get to. Yes, it's not at all budgetary, but the museums inside the chambers are worth it. Of course, those who have been to the museums of Moscow or St. Petersburg may not appreciate it, but the masterpieces of the sultan's household will definitely attract you. There are weapons, awards, and items of clothing, both casual and festive. In general, there is something to see.

Of course, after watching a couple of seasons of the Magnificent Century, I definitely wanted to visit Topkapi Palace. The most interesting place for me was the Harem where the characters of the series went, I imagined that these would be majestic halls, and I was very upset that in fact they were, of course, narrow rooms for the sultan's concubines, only a few lived in good conditions, and thousands of girls huddled in small common rooms. The entrance to the Topkapi Palace is closed only on Tuesday, after going to the first courtyard you will get to the ticket office, you can only buy a ticket for euros or lira (for June 2025, the price is 2400 liras), a free audio guide is included, a VISA or passport is taken as a deposit, the guide is absolutely stupid, I can give it a score of 2, it's easier to download any audio guide yourself, and it's better, of course, to take a guide, this is a 100% recommendation, otherwise there's no point in all this historical the sights are difficult to understand. It took us about 5 hours to do a self-examination, and we looked at everything a little bit at a time. I really liked the room with the sultan's dresses and treasures and the collection of mechanical watches. And yes, there are, of course, stunning views of the Bosphorus, as if you feel like Hurrem Sultan when you stand on the balcony and breathe in the fresh air from the bay. There is a cafe on the territory of the Palace where you can drink coffee and have a snack, located just behind the kitchens of the palace. In general, the Topkapi Palace gave me only positive emotions, I liked it. If you want to plunge into the life story of the Sultan, then do not miss the opportunity to visit this amazing place!

Honestly, it's a disappointment. Everything is too small, too shabby. The view of the Bosphorus is beautiful from the observation deck. When traveling to Istanbul, of course, it's worth a look for the sake of overall development, but make no mistake. The ticket price is 2000 lire. The complex also includes the St. Irene Museum. Do not buy lattes at the museum to the right of the cash register. He's disgusting 🙂

It is a very beautiful palace, there is a lot to see: jewelry, clothes, weapons, watches, Muslim relics, things of the Prophet Muhammad. It's better to start with the harem. The final price is very expensive - more than 5,000 per ticket. The audio guide is free of charge, secured by a passport, but it didn't work everywhere in the summer

It's great, we definitely need to go. There was a small queue for tickets in June, so it makes sense not to buy tickets online if you are with children. Children's ticket is about 600 rubles. It takes about 5 hours to see everything. The audio guide is free.

Entrance is 10,000 rubles for 2, the time is about 4 hours, the St. Irina Museum, the harem, and the palace itself, you can probably buy tickets separately, we did not succeed, they give you an audio guide in Russian at the entrance, but they take your passport as a deposit, we took it, we did not need it, carried the whole tour in our pocket,if you have money, Russian-speaking guides offer their services, how much is not asked, not cheap, price tags are everywhere in euros,

An incredible place with a great history! I advise you to visit at least once, there are many exhibits here, and it is very interesting and atmospheric to walk through the corridors and halls! You can see green parrots on the territory, they are funny) But keep in mind that it will take hours to see everything.

It's a very beautiful place. I wanted to see the place where Sultan Suleiman and Hurrem Sultan lived and walked. There are many exhibits and the territory is very large. 👍👍But I didn't like the fact that there are 2,400 lire at the ticket office for tourists and 400 lire for locals. I understand that for a social group (for families with many children, students or schoolchildren), you can make 400, but it's not nice to divide it that way.

Very beautiful! In June 2025, a ticket costs 2,400 lire for everything and only this fare is sold at the gate, there is a price tag of 900 lire at the entrance to the harem, but it is not clear how to get there without entering the palace... If you have bought a ticket for everything, then you will be allowed into the harem at no extra charge, just tick the ticket again. Almost all the serial locations are closed, that is, you will not get into the usual harem and chambers, but even so there are many beautiful halls and views, I walked for 3 hours, I was satisfied.

In January 2025, a comprehensive ticket (the territory of the palace, the harem and the Church of St. Irina) it costs 2000 lire. Despite the high cost, be sure to visit Topkapi. Set aside at least 4 hours for the examination, provide a snack, and dress comfortably. You'll have to walk a lot and stand in line. Coffee with a croissant can be purchased inside, it will cost 300-400 lira, but it is not forbidden to take sandwiches and tea in a thermos. An audio guide is provided at the entrance to the territory on the security of a passport or driver's license. It duplicates the information written on the stands in English in Russian. If you know the language, you can do without it.

Not so long ago, the entrance here for foreign tourists became more expensive, and in order for me and my children to go there on an excursion, I had to pay....18 thousand for three people. It was written on the Internet that you can buy a ticket separately to the harem or museum, but at the ticket office we were told that there was only one ticket for all together and its price was 2,400 lira per person (((

Of course, everyone should visit! A historical place. The scale is amazing. You can't get around everything in one day. Everything is expensive and rich))) An audio guide is not interesting) take guided tours with some interesting person to tell legends and stories))) Dollars were not accepted at the checkout, so I had to look for an exchanger at 9 a.m. The entrance fee is not cheap 2t lira. But for this price, we didn't even see the Sultan's chambers ((( the most after the harem....very sorry. They were under restoration. Of course, no one notifies about this at the checkout. There are a lot of people even out of season. Groups of foreign tourists crowd the narrow corridors of the palace, even in the morning.

A huge palace that will take you at least 3-4 hours to view everything. There are a lot of people, a lot of things from the Ottoman period, BUT really, for the money they charge tourists, they simply can't make a canopy near the ticket office, it's very hot, and you have to wait a long time in line.

What a beauty!!! First, I watched the entire Magnificent Century series and immediately wanted to plunge into this story. We were in May 2024, the entrance was 1,500 lira, a bit expensive, but it's worth it. Of course, there are a lot of people, there were even queues, but if you come to Istanbul, then you should definitely visit the Topaki Palace!

I was impressed, of course, more impressed by the views of the golden horn. Basically everything in the tile is done. Identical sofas . Gazebos, library, ambassadors' reception house, nice ones. There were a lot of gift-encrusted weapons, and I liked the calligraphy hall. Did I see very few exhibits?

Museum connoisseurs will justify the entrance fees, otherwise there are too many expositions and too few "palaces". While visiting, you're always looking for luxury, but you come across another display of plates and cups. As a walk for 3-5 hours is suitable if you have visited everything that is around.

The exposition is beautiful, of course. I really liked the harem. But they couldn't stay in the museum for long. Still, it is necessary to visit it in good weather. We were there when it was cold and raining, and we froze because you were always going inside and out. Besides, there's nowhere to eat at all. At least some kind of cafe or restaurant would be made, but it's better not to have one! In one place, we found a tiny cafeteria with two tiny tables where we could buy tea/coffee and sandwiches or croissants. Another disadvantage is that the restrooms are dirty and there are queues in them. Still, people don't come to the palace for one hour, they can generally spend the whole day there, but at least some amenities are needed.

In general, the complex is very interesting. But the queues at the entrances to the locations are creepy, in several turns. An audio guide is practically useless: the information is scanty, literally by the minute, and then for a small part of the premises. And some videos are not even in the declared Russian language. It could have been done better for a decent ticket price.
