The palace was disappointed. The territory is huge, you can walk and visit everything for half a day, but: crowds, there are no CROWDS of tourists. The rooms of the palace are quite empty, most often just bare walls, you walk through empty rooms and look at how the sultan or his wives lived. Expositions are set up in some rooms. For example, dishes of the sultan, orders of the Sultan, caftans of the Sultan, etc. In general, the palace, in my opinion, does not justify its price at all. I got much more impressions and pleasure from the Dolmbahce palace.

Of course, this is not the story of my country, but it is still a story. The place where the rulers of the vast Ottoman Empire lived. And here you are walking along the same roads where they once walked, you can literally touch the five-century history. It's cool that you can watch it.

It's very informative, but be prepared for queues. Be sure to have a guide, otherwise nothing will be clear. Be sure to visit the treasury on the territory of the palace (it's easy to find, there will be the longest queue)))

Anyone who watched the Turkish TV series "Magnificent Century" must visit this palace. It's a pretentious and very interesting place, and it's really breathtaking, especially for history buffs.

I'll put 4 only for a very expensive ticket. The ticket is shared for all exhibitions of the Topkapi Palace, harem and temple. The treasure exhibition itself is interesting, especially if you prepare and read what appeared there and from where. Maybe an audio guide will help too. For example, I found out that some of the treasures were taken out of the tomb of the Prophet Muhammad — I don't know exactly the history, whether they were saved or conquered, and then stolen.

A beautiful sultan's palace. Here you can learn about the history of the Ottoman Empire. Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of that time. Take a walk in the park or visit interesting exhibitions

A beautiful, atmospheric palace. We went with pleasure . A must-visit in Istanbul. The only thing was that there were a lot of tourists . We visited at the end of June.

It's a very beautiful area, there are a lot of people, there are queues everywhere from here. I advise you to take a guide, visit the right places faster. The museum has a lot of interesting antiques and jewelry.

A beautiful palace and park, the atmosphere of the Magnificent Century series, a beautiful display of precious things, clothes, household items, so that fewer people would come to the opening.

It's a great place, and my advice to those who like to take pictures is to come to the opening when there aren't many people, the only way you can take a photo without a crowd.

If you want to touch the antiquity, come here. Old palaces, armory, treasury, library and harem. Padishahs walked on these stones, history was made in these walls. One of the disadvantages: a huge territory. Take your spare legs with you.

The ticket costs 120 lire, without visiting the palace itself! Take a walk through the palace garden and go to the gate itself

A very beautiful and luxurious palace with a slightly oppressive atmosphere. To fully experience its grandeur, it is better to visit the palace with a guide, even if you have read the history.

A wonderful museum! We took a guided tour. 4 hours was not enough to enjoy all the beauty of the palace and the surrounding area. The ticket is not cheap, but it is worth the money.

We weren't inside, we were passing by. It's impressive from the outside, beautiful, and photographed. It is located in the center of the park, which is also very beautiful. You can sit on a bench and watch flocks of large green parrots. Everything together made a good impression. We had a wonderful walk!

The incredible, fabulous Topkapi Palace in Istanbul!! Who likes the Magnificent Century movie? I recommend it!! The interiors are striking in their luxury and elegance. Magnificent shady alleys where you can hide from the scorching sun and admire the scents of flowers! And get to know the history and traditions of Turkey even more closely!!

A must-visit. The halls with jewels were especially impressive. If everything there is real, then the collection is probably larger than in the diamond hall of the Hermitage.

It is a very interesting place, but you need to be very hardy to visit all the rooms that are open to tourists because it is very large. It took us half a day to do it. You should definitely visit this place, because it is directly connected with the Ottoman Empire and the Sultanate!!!

I really wanted to get into this palace, but the price for a large family turned out to be terrible!!!! For residents-900 lire, for guests-2500 lire! It's kind of unfair for the guests..... And plus huge queues for such a price!

A great place for fans of the well-known TV series "magnificent century". This palace has become a museum. Its walls have been standing for many years, you can visit the hammam, the harem, the private chambers of the great sultans and the Sultan himself.

A place of worship where the sultans lived for almost 400 years. It was interesting to see all the courtyards, as well as the harem. It turns out that this is a separate, closed community. With their own rules of life. I recommend you to visit.

A beautiful place for a good walk for 3-4 hours. There is something to see and where to walk. The entrance fee is a little too high, but compared to other prices for admission to tourist sites in Istanbul, it is quite adequate. I definitely recommend you to visit.

It's a beautiful place. It is necessary to set aside one day specifically for walking, the territory is large, the queues are long, every day. You can sit, relax, eat and drink at three on the road) the views are crazy. It costs a lot, but you can't come and not see it.

There is absolutely nothing to see. Wasted time and money. You expect imperial grandeur and oriental luxury in the interiors, but you're looking at bare walls. The audio guide is useless. Out of the corner of my ear, I've heard the stories of guides from neighboring groups: mostly they ask me to present their former splendor.

There are a lot of people! Giving 10k rubles for two people to walk in a crowd and not see anything normal is not such a story! In general, it is unclear what is so valuable and interesting there that everyone is running to this park. Another advertised place. Istanbul has a huge number of equally beautiful palaces and museums for a more or less adequate price!

It will take you at least 4-5 hours to explore everything, but personally I was bored - the ratio of walking to "this is interesting!" is not in favor of the latter. I've heard rave reviews from fans of Turkish TV series - I probably should have watched it beforehand, too, in order to achieve enlightenment and feel connected to the place. Well, the price tag, in my opinion, is very high - about 4,500 rubles per person (March 2025), but this applies to many attractions in Turkey recently.
