Trabzon is a glorious city on the Black Sea coast of Turkey. The city has a rather interesting and ancient history, so it's a pleasure to stroll through its sights. Trabzon Castle is located in the historical center (in fact, the buildings are a little scattered, but it is quite possible to walk, for example, from the seaport) The walls have been preserved, and there are beautiful views from the river. During our visit, it was not possible to fully visit the castle, everything was fenced with scaffolding. Before visiting, of course, it is worth checking whether the facility is open.

Externally, the structure looks very majestic and impressive, but it was not possible to get inside and examine in detail what is there and how. It is clear that some parts of the fortress have been lost over time, but what remains is worth a look. There is a park at the foot of the fortress on the site of the old riverbed. The fortress is one of the two most significant attractions of Trabzon (the second is the Hagia Sophia Mosque).

Trabzon Castle - fragments of ancient walls, modern buildings between them. There are no dizzying views. There is no information on the stands . My advice is don't go, you're wasting your time.
