Kilometers of art and beauty. Epochs, artists, and masterpieces change one by one… We decided with a friend to go to an evening session 1.5 hours before closing time and had incredible pleasure, as the building itself, shadows and reflection began to flirt with us and create new masterpieces. If you are in Florence, then be sure to visit the gallery for at least an hour, preferably the first hours or 1.5 hours before closing. The museum map will help you.

Everything is great, amazing, amazing!!! The world's masterpieces are collected in one place, which you have known since childhood, but have never seen in person, five hours flew by very quickly. We visited the gallery in the summer and in November, and it's more comfortable in the fall, as it's very stuffy in the summer.

One of the best art galleries in Italy, where the most famous paintings of the masters of the Italian Renaissance are collected. Including works by Filippo Lippi, Botticelli, Giotto, Leonardo da Vinci and Raphael. It takes about 3 and a half hours to visit and inspect her, if you're lucky. We had a guide, Natalia, whose story inspired us so much that we wanted to stay here longer. The so-called "Florence syndrome" is associated with visiting the museum. A person who is impressed and influenced by works of art is suddenly so overwhelmed by the depth of feelings and emotions from the perception of beauty and the artist's intention that "unable to contain them, he begins to cry " or falls into an epileptic fit. There are about 20 cases per year, and the museum's security is specially prepared for such situations. As for our visit, I was really % impressed in the hall, where, among other beautiful works, there is a painting "The Birth of Venus" by Botticelli. I don't know about the syndrome, but my head was spinning and it wasn't childish) It's a good thing I wasn't alone. ☝️ Michelangelo's famous David sculpture "with disproportionately long" arms is not in the right place and level for which it was intended. The master's idea was that the viewer would look at her from the bottom up and in this perspective the proportions would be normal. It is currently on display in another museum in the city.
