In the 1880s, the village of Poplavy was part of the Bozhin estate and belonged to Mikhail Volovich. Literacy training was organized there, as well as a parish school, the teacher of which was maintained at the expense of the villagers. At the beginning of the XX century, a wooden two-storey manor house was built here. The mansion is a landmark of the agro-town and the whole area.
