Everything is beautiful in the old town. Admission for tourists is five times more expensive than for locals. They didn't go up, those who were there went down and spat. The ratio of the price and what you saw does not match.

One of the symbols of Baku. Located at the entrance to the Old Town. A few years ago, it was possible to climb for 10 manats (local currency) up the spiral staircase to the observation deck to see part of the beautiful panorama of the city.

Inside the tower does not cause any emotions, "history" is not felt.
A ticket for foreigners is expensive, the tower does not justify its cost, it is better to admire it from the outside.

Hello, I usually don't write reviews.But in this case , I couldn 't resist .I was born in Russia by nationality Tatar, my wife is Azerbaijani.Recently we were in Baku , I am a wife and my wife 's mother .We bought tickets to the maiden tower, we wanted to go in, but it's not that simple. A young (arrogant and ill-mannered Azerbaijani) first asked me in an Azerbaijani document or I said I didn't have a right with me, then he told me you're Russian, buy a ticket more expensive and come in.Well, of course we handed over all the tickets to the ticket office and went away from this tower…Here it is Caucasian hospitality))))

The entrance costs 15 manats, as a result, the most interesting thing you will see here is a well inside the tower. The height of the tower opens up a beautiful view, but everything is covered with glass partitions (you can't really take normal photos), you can see such a beautiful view from the mountain nearby. It's clearly not worth your money. The exhibits inside are pretty boring.
