One of the monumental monuments of late Soviet architecture, made in the form of a cascade with terraces.
It connects the central Kentron district with the Kanaker-Zeitoun district. Designed by architects Jim Torosyan, Aslan Mkhitaryan and Sargis Gurzadyan, the construction of the cascade began in 1971 and was partially completed in 1980.
By 2024, the upper part remains unfinished, but a completion project has already been developed, the implementation of which is scheduled in the near future.

Очень приятное и интересное место, фонтанчики, архитектура, цветочные клумбы, всё очень интересно разглядывать. Выставленные арт-объекты добавляют изюминку. В целом нетривиальное и любопытное место. Порадовало, что подняться на каскад можно не только по ступеням, но и на лифте. Мы как уставшие от постоянных прогулок и жары туристы очень оценили.

The last part of the cascade is either not worthy, or has been dismantled. We went all the way to the top. We went to the monuments of the 50th anniversary of the USSR and political prisoners. Beautiful view of the city. There is an escalator on the left side if you go up. You can also build a route from top to bottom. In fact, a cascade is a staircase from one part of the city to another. I advise travelers to build a route this way. Get to the top, go down to admire the views and then continue walking through the city center.
There are exhibition halls inside the cascade.

After that, you will have an independent ascent - 560 steps up, but it should be noted that the steps themselves are comfortable and climbing is not a problem.
