We visited the dacha of our former ruler Gorbachev M. S. the other day ...
We came from the sea, on the legendary motor ship
"Heroes of Abkhazia". .
And fast and convenient and comfortable.
A gorgeous place that does not require descriptions..
Many thanks to the guide Aida, for her interesting and informative tour, we learned a lot, and we made conclusions:
"How beautiful this world is"....
Raisa Maksimovna's taste was on top and very budget .... 4000 sq.m. the square footage of the cottage, where there was not even a place for a kitchen. It was built as a separate building with an underground passage to the main one.
And the tunnel made in the mountain is 130 meters long: take a ride on a trolley, take an elevator down to the sea and enjoy a sea swim... Although it is 50 meters from the house to the shore.
It was necessary to think of such a thing - just "The beauty of the mind"....
But unfortunately there is no way to inspect everything, the upper floors have been converted into rooms for rent and there is no entrance for a simple tourist.
I had to settle for little, but still, the impression remained positive...

Wonderful nature, a place as far away from civilization as possible (it is difficult to get there, there is only one pension "Mussera" nearby), the purest sea and beach, the spirit of history, unique interior items. I recommend you to visit. My dream is not just to visit, but to relax with accommodation in the rooms of the cottage.

The place is simply gorgeous. I recommend going there. The sea is warm and clean, the mountains in combination with the relict forest (relict pines), give a very good therapeutic effect, especially for asthmatics. And anyway it's cool there

I was not impressed, the rooms are rented, so the tour is simply incomplete, the guide tells not interesting and tourists just fight off the tour. The place is cool, the bay is secluded. Stalin's dacha is nearby, so of course it is more interesting and historical.

The first and last president of the USSR, Mikhail Sergeyevich Gorbachev, did not want to use Stalin's old dacha and therefore built his own more modern one.Unlike Stalin's dacha, where the decoration is made of wood, Gorbachev's dacha is decorated with marble along with wood. A gorgeous staircase with a huge bronze chandelier that runs through all floors, its weight is about a ton, its length is 24 meters.Stained glass windows made of colored rock crystal.A huge swimming pool, the walls of which are decorated with panels of ancient Greek myths.
At Gorbachev's dacha, you can rent rooms and relax by the sea. When we walked around the museum , we saw laundry hanging on the dryer on the balcony of one of the rooms , that's amazing , the museum seems to be...I was also surprised that Gorbachev's former state house is now the official residence of the President of Abkhazia and he receives political guests and holds meetings there .Naturally, this happens when there are no tourists, but it still seemed strange to us, I hope this cottage will not eventually suffer the fate of Stalin's cottage in New Athos, because once they also rented rooms there. They say Gorbachev's wife, Raisa Maksimovna, led the construction of the cottage and asked to redo everything every now and then, the Yugoslavs built the cottage. The Gorbachevs were at the dacha only during construction , but upon completion they did not manage to live there .In 1991, the Soviet Union collapsed, a year later the war began in Abkhazia and there was no time to give.

I recommend you to visit. Entrance to the territory is paid, 600 per person, but Stalin's dacha and Gorbachev's dacha are on the territory. In the summer, excursions are held every hour, we were in May, but still there was a guide, Eduard, who conducted the tour very coolly, gave us a walk to take pictures. To me, Stalin's dacha is worth more attention in this complex, because he was in it and many artifacts of that time have been preserved. In general, I definitely recommend it

A quiet and cozy place. A beautiful beach. You can even rent rooms at Gorbachev's dacha. A little higher up the forest path, Stalin's dacha is located. There are guided tours there (quite interesting).

We went without an excursion together with my wife.
After the turn, there is a small serpentine of about 10 km. Be careful, don't fly, there are cows on the roads.
After 3-4 km you can stop, the landmark is a swing, but you can't ride, but the view is very beautiful.
We didn't go to Gorbachev's, but we went higher, there was Stalin's dacha, the good abhaz drove us to a group of people, as the tour began.
We listened and walked around the cottage.
I was not particularly impressed, it was old, decrepit, I liked the guide, a great story, well, if it's true.
I liked the shore, the pebbles, we swam, took a shower there on the shore, rinsed ourselves.
The comment is great. I really liked it personally. I will go to Abkhazia, I will definitely go there again.

The place is gorgeous. 3 stars only for the guide (Gorbachev's cottage). The girl is clearly out of place. All in a patter, in one breath. She scolded a woman twice her age for sitting down on the ground floor at the front door. In the end, she escorted everyone (30 people) out the door by the pool and defiantly slammed the door. It's amazing that I didn't pinch anyone 🤣🤣🤣

The place is super, forest, sea, clean beach. There's nothing special inside, you can rent a room for 15000-35000, but it's not worth it, inside the room is clearly not for this price. The tour is boring, the guide is not talking about anything, a young boorish aunt. Only for this 4 stars, if you put such a price tag, lick the guests

How do I get to the territory by car? We were driving on Yandex. Navigator, the road is good, but winding. You need to go until you hit the barrier, there is a payment for entering the territory to two dachas (700 rubles per car). They did not have time to go on an excursion to the building of Gorbachev's dacha. The territory is well maintained, the sea and the beach are clean. There is a cafe, Parking. The views are wonderful.

Such a gorgeous place, the beach, the purest sea. But! They are rented for living to everyone who has money for it. They don't restore anything, everything starts to crumble - the tiles, the wall, the owners only earn money from this historical place.

An interesting building, but.... If they are conducting an excursion, then the guide should know more and navigate, the story was confusing and very dry. Residential floors are not being raised, i.e. they are being rented and currently it is the property of the President of Abkhazia. The coast near the cottage is clean, and the sea is different in color from the coast of other places. Very interesting

We spent the night at the end of June. Waking up to the sound of the surf, immersing your feet in hot sand, wandering among the willow trees is worth a lot... but fortunately, there is quite a normal price tag. So far, few people know about this place. But it's magical.
