- I wanted to ask the waitress what is included in the seafood plate , and in response we received: "well, all the seafood of the sea" (or somehow with such a meaning that I never found out what exactly was there)

If you want to have a good time, have a delicious meal, try the local cuisine - you are not here. The restaurant was closed for some time for reconstruction. No major changes are visible. The waiters "sleep in a yoke", they are in no hurry to approach, but in the receipt plus 10 percent is mandatory. They asked if it was possible not to pay? The answer is included there. The food is very ordinary, We had lunch many times in less pretentious places, it was even tastier. There is no payment by cards, only by transfer to a card or cash. After we sat down at the table, we were warned that the minimum check per person is 1500. We didn't plan on spending less, but it was frustrating considering everything else. There are signs everywhere-you can't go there, there too, the restaurant is not an excursion for you. I'm sorry, you're positioning yourself as a historical place. Of course, everyone is interested to see at least the photos in the hall. The toilet was working in only 1 of the three cubicles. And if there's a full house? I do not recommend it categorically.

Yes, we knew which institution we were going to and our style of dress was restrained, without ball gowns and rings on our fingers. Sorry, Steve Jobs walked around in jeans and a T-shirt, while no one turned away from him, as they did from us today.After landing, we waited for about 15 more minutes to come to us. A girl came up, took the order and yes, I understand that all establishments have their own traditions and rules, but it's banal not to serve vegetables and mushrooms just because you didn't order a barbecue for them, sorry, my mind can't make sense. It's okay, they brought water, put glasses, bottles and that's it. Pour for the guest-no, you haven't heard. We have self-service, apparently. The food was waited for about 40 minutes. After the dishes were brought, the waiter casually threw us a phrase on the run that there was no one item from the order, immediately left without trying to offer something in return, as it happens in other decent establishments. The food was brought hot, we will also add this to the positive sides. But the taste is ordinary. There's no way to call him that. The usual generally delicious food, not cold to serve, not catchy in any way. Also, during the evening at a live music concert, we found ourselves in darkness. Yes, in such a "decent" place, the lights were simply turned off and I have never seen the waiters running around like a fireman and shouting: "is there a flashlight, what happened?" It seems that this should be done in such a way as not to panic the client and somehow talk to the visitors, and not leave them sitting in the dark and eating by the light of a flashlight. Also, I'm sorry, the service fee for each order is 10% and that's okay, the policy of the institutions of Abkhazia. You can't argue, everyone has their own rules. But when you need to bring change, because the payment terminal was not provided and there was a cash payment, the waiter decides to round the amount to a lower value and pick up the tip without your demand-piggishness! We would have decided what kind of tip to leave and clearly more than the amount that was not returned to us. But after such an act, maintenance-I think it's superfluous. In general, the dream of visiting this institution came true, but soon crashed on the rocks of rudeness. Don't set foot here anymore. There are many other establishments with a large selection of dishes on the menu, the availability of products to order, service, pleasant staff and a lower price tag. Definitely 1 out of 10. And that's 1-purely for the fact that the musicians brightened up this evening of disappointments.

I decided to take my mother to a popular restaurant in Abkhazia - Gagrypsh. Even from afar, the building arouses interest and delight (a huge clock, a wooden structure that is built without a single nail, stone, wide steps) - all this allows you to feel like a royal person majestically strolling through your possessions. 👑 Inside, the restaurant also looks very decent, many things have remained unchanged since the construction of the building. After going into the hall, we sat down at a table. The waiter came up to us and informed us about the deposit of 2000 per adult and 1000 per child. 💰 Since there were three of us, it turned out to be 5,000. I ordered langoustines, my daughter's soup, my mother chose carbonara pasta, ordered juice and coffee. 🦐 🍲 🍝 🥤 ☕️ While we were waiting for food, we went out onto the balcony. The view is mesmerizing. The hall where the restaurant is located is beautiful - sooo high ceilings, gorgeous chandeliers, there are tables on the upper level (but the restaurant does not serve there). After 19:00 - live music. 🎵 The food was brought to us very quickly, in about 15 minutes, which surprised us a little. To say that we were amazed by the cuisine is to say nothing. We haven't seen such DISGUSTING food for a long time!!! The smell of langoustines hinted that something was wrong, soup and pasta did not cause excessive salivation externally and by smell either. 🤨 Thinking that I had eaten too much, I started eating, and so did my daughter and mother. Without any pleasure, my mother and I ate the delights of the restaurant, and my daughter, after eating a little soup, refused to finish it. He did not react to my remark to the waiter that my dish was disgusting. The juice was delicious.But the coffee was similar in color and taste to water after rinsing the coffee machine.🤢 The waiter informed us that we still have a balance of funds and, having "eaten enough", we decided to take home a bottle of sealed wine with us. It turned out that there are no cheap wines from the bar list. We took a bottle of wine for 2000. As a result, we got a check for 5852. All the time after eating, I felt discomfort in my stomach and after a couple of hours I realized that something was wrong. 🥴 After walking along the embankment for a while and riding on the Ferris wheel, I picked up the girls and we went home. 🚘 When I got home, I drank 4 tablespoons of enterosgel and hugged the basin. 🤢 I didn't sleep until two o'clock in the morning, there was a feeling that langoustines had turned into Kraken in my stomach and their brutal howling did not want to stop in any way. After two hours, I fell asleep in a sitting position on the bed, because when I tried to lie down, I started vomiting. The next day, I continued to take the medicine and by the evening I felt better. Mom and daughter, thank God, got through 🙏🏻
I haven't felt such disappointment for a long time! I would like to believe that we were so unlucky, but I have already heard several negative reviews and understand that we are not alone. I would like to wish the owners of the restaurant to take seriously the control of cooking and the quality of products. 🍇🥒🥩 After all, because of such employees, the restaurant makes a bad reputation for itself and loses customers.

A wonderful restaurant in Staraya Gagra. He was visited by a lot of famous people: Nikolai ||, writer I. Bunin, singer F. Chaliapin et al. The hall offers a beautiful view of the sea. The waiters are attentive and serve the order quickly.

There was no kettle in the room, fortunately I took a mini kettle with me!!! But there are also advantages, a beautiful territory, all in greenery and peacock, close to the sea, 3-4 minutes. It's good that the cafe took only breakfast, something delicious, and something not so good, but the staff treats tourists well!!! In general, I liked everything except the lack of hot water...

A beautiful restaurant has no more advantages. The service is disgusting, as soon as we entered, we were immediately warned that they only sit at the table with a deposit of 1.5t.p. per person and a child of 750 rubles., we agreed and they put us at the far table at the entrance, after that we waited 15-20 minutes for the waiter, while different waiters constantly ran around us, we tried I called out, but no one was paying attention. The most popular place in Abkhazia and our most expensive and tasteless lunch.
Of course, the place is iconic and definitely worth a visit to admire the views and architecture, but still it's a restaurant and the food there leaves much to be desired.
In the royal fish soup, in which several types of fish were promised, there were shrimps and squid,
Flounder simply fried came out at 4 k, and why does the waiter not specify that the price per gram is also interesting.
The strudel was really delicious, so I put stars for it.
Those who want to try the national cuisine are definitely not here.

I liked the restaurant itself, it is in a great place, the atmosphere inside is quite pleasant, the prices are of course overpriced, but it is understandable, it is designed for tourists. The deposit per person is 1,500 rubles in the afternoon and 2,000 rubles in the evening. The menu is quite simple, there is a choice, but the food is so-so, out of 5 by 2 points. The kebab is tasteless, but the price is 1300 rubles, the salads are the most common, the prince's dessert has one name, they brought a greasy consistency in a glass with a biscuit.
I didn't like the service, the staff was rude. There was an unpleasant situation with the calculation: cards are not accepted, this is the norm in Abkhazia in principle, although it's time to put terminals, transfer or cash in such a restaurant. We had lunch together for 4,500 rubles, plus 10% service, I made a transfer, and when we were about to leave, 4 waiters attacked us at the entrance like wild wolves, allegedly I transferred money to a blocked card, and now, through my fault, they will have to go to Sochi to withdraw money!!! They stood like a wall and just "barked" like a pack of dogs, and the whole picture was observed by visitors and guests of the restaurant. I am a non-confrontational person, especially since I work in the service sector, and I know that the client is always right. I explained in a calm voice that it was not the guest's fault, nothing terrible had actually happened and please visit the bank branch as soon as possible and withdraw money from the account. To which I received a lot of negativity in my address. So the impression is spoiled by the staff. No one apologized, but only accused me of something that was absolutely not my fault)
I do not recommend visiting. There are much better places where sooo delicious food and super service, where every guest is appreciated and respected.

Visiting this restaurant is a mistake of the whole vacation in Abkhazia . To be honest, it would be better to throw a shawl at the station. We ordered homemade pickles, we thought we'd put the cherries up now, as a result we brought a bunch of sooo weakly pickled cabbage and one cucumber (it was a shock). Further more when the waitress came up and asked if she liked everything ? The answer was immediately given: no homemade pickles are a complete mess, to which she replied: we don't like it ourselves. Most of the dishes on the menu are not from the word at all.., why are Abkhazian dishes in Abkhazia?the waiter advised (more precisely, there was practically nothing else)the meat, which is supposedly the favorite of the Prince of Odenbursky, is in fact julienne in a frying pan in the common people (hryuchevo).It is clear that this institution works for the flow of photographers, but you are a RESTAURANT!!!! It's not too difficult to make a normal menu and call a normal cook, the price tag is overestimated in terms of price-quality ratio three times, the deposit for two is 4K total crap, if next time you came, then you would take chachi for this deposit!!!

Well, anyway, the lemonade was delicious and thanks for that. This year we are back in Abkhazia, we decided to go back to Gagripsh, it is very beautiful from there. But we were met by a haughty-looking waitress and told that the deposit was 1,500 per person. There were 3 of us and we were not particularly hungry, we wanted to have a snack, drink lemonade and go for a walk further. Spending 4,500 on lunch was not part of our plans. We left and 15 other people followed us. There are 2 tables in the hall. Questionable restrictions, given the level of cuisine (in the photo, meat for 650 rubles). Well, okay. It's your business.

Потрясающий ресторан. Безумно вкусные блюда. Приятная музыка и в целом очень расслабляющая обстановка. Заказали в целях ознакомления «фирменные» блюда с меню. Чек достойный,но это того стоило. Невероятно вкусно.
Заказали на двоих:
салат «оливье»,тот самый классический по старинному рецепту .
Любимое блюдо принца Ольденбургского
На десерт фирменное мороженое Гагрипш ,мороженое идет с ликером,поэтому ребенку одну порцию заказали безалкогольную
И лимонад
По чеку вышло чуть больше 5,5 тысяч.
После мы прогулялись по самому ресторану, по обзорной террасе,второму этажу. Красивое здание с историей . Очень колоритное место где точно стоит побывать и куда хочется вернуться.

Это не просто ресторан - это легенда! Персонал держит планку на уровне. И качество еды, и разнообразие, и обслуживание посетителей - все на высшем уровне, выше всяких похвал. И особенная атмосфера заведения.
Первый раз заскочили просто кофе попить - не было времени, были на экскурсии, проездом из другого города. Но очень хотелось потребить в знаменитом Гагрипше хотя бы кофе .Нам очень быстро принесли [великолепный!] кофе, вошли в наше положение.
Второй раз уже целенаправленно туда пошли на обед. Мы были в восторге. Не буду описывать подробно, но поверьте, оно того стоит - посетить Гагрипш в Абхазии.
Пиво многих ресторанах был, в том числе и в других странах. Могу с уверенностью сказать: есть рестораны, есть Рестораны или даже РЕСТОРАНЫ, а есть Гагрипш!

So... We arrived in Abkhazia this year (we love Abkhazia), went to Gagry to sit in the Gagripsh restaurant (a beautiful architectural monument, made without a single nail, decoration) - as a result, we happily go into the restaurant - and there they tell us - "Where did we go! The deposit is 1500 rubles per person (and we are 4 people)" , all happiness ended in bewilderment and disappointment, why put any limits when we just wanted to sit for 1000 rubles per person and leave a tip of 500 rubles. So I don't want to leave a deposit of 1,500 rubles, but I want to spend 1,000 rubles per person, to which we were told: "We can't help anything," we went out on the balcony to look at the view, started calling the guards, almost got the bail out of the institution... It turns out that you can't watch anything - a fine of 1000 rubles. The restaurant is empty, there is no one, don't they really need money? I have money, just because of the principle - I don't want to leave a deposit. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT!!

Very atmospheric place! Beautiful antique interior! Slightly "tired" and worn textiles, tablecloths and chairs. But the staff is not very friendly, there is a minimum order! But the most unpleasant thing is that there is no more than half of the selection in the menu! There was nothing from the national cuisine:(
Wine and champagne for 800 rubles, in the store such for 300 rubles. Don't take a beer plate, there are ordinary sausages. Although the most pleasant thing is that the meat was tender and very tasty. And tangerine juice is very delicious! The interior of the restaurant is chic and unique! Live music starts playing from 19:00: saxophone and aunt sings songs. And there is nowhere to dance, only in the aisle, where the waiters are running. You can go up to the second floor of the restaurant. The coolest thing is the view from the balcony at sunset!

After 16 o'clock, the dishes of Abkhazian cuisine and pasta stated in the menu are not served, which initially there is no information about. Ресторан очень красивый и снаружи и внутри. Торжественные люстры, красные шторы. При этом ощущается какая-то легкость.
Меню разнообразное. Есть и для детей, что выбрать.
Мы заказывали рыбу, мясо, курицу - все было очень вкусно. Цены московские. Стейк из говядины 1400₽, из семги 1600₽.
Вкусный оливье и красивая подача.
Вино от 800₽, далее 1400, потом 2200, и кажется еще было за 3000₽ за бутылку.
У нас была неразговорчивая официантка. А вот столику рядом повезло больше, там молодой официант все рассказывал, советовал, был просто душкой.
Я бы рассматривала поход в Гагрипш как экскурсию. Обязательно к посещению, обязательно заложите бюджет на это.
У нас на троих вышло 9 тыс. Почти.
Учитывайте, что есть обязательный сбор за обслуживание: 10% от суммы чека.
Его сразу включают в счет.
Бронировать стол лучше заранее. Мы бронировали за 3 дня.

Of course, this is an iconic place and one of the most beautiful business cards of Abkhazia. This restaurant was bought by the Prince of Oldenburg somewhere far away in the north of Abkhazia, disassembled, brought to Gagra and assembled. Its appearance has hardly changed since the tsarist times. The food is very tasty, but the price tag also matches. The girls will of course take a lot of beautiful photos there.

Очень аутентичный ресторан, который бережно хранит атмосферу конца 19 - начала 20 века. Красивый интерьер в духе своего времени, вежливый и внимательный персонал, красивая подача и очень вкусные блюда - это всё про Гагрипш. Особое настроение создаёт живая музыка. В наш визит нам удалось послушать скрипку, флейту и саксафон - восторг! Музыканты просто великолепны! А вот вокалистка не понравилась совсем, даже мешала... То ли не профессиональные микрофоны, то ли не отрегулирован звук, то ли просто сама она не так хороша, но каждый раз, когда певица появлялась на сцене, мы искали способ встать из-за стола 😅
Теперь о самом главном: еда. Мы пришли сюда на День рождения большой компанией (8 человек). Ни в чем себя не ограничивали, брали вино, закуски, салаты, горячие блюда, десерты. Все остались очень довольны. Блюда вкусные, большинство со своей изюминкой. Чек вышел ~23 тыс. То есть в среднем по 2800 на человека. На мой взгляд цены сопоставимы с хорошим заведением в центре Москвы. Точно не дороже. Единственное, тут нет ни скидки, ни комплимента от ресторана в честь праздника. Это было немного обидно, но, видимо, такова тут политика.
Единственный минус - это форма одежды. Официанты ходят черном, одетые в брендированные футболки и фартуки. Да, не броско и в целом уместно, но в заведении такого уровня хотелось бы видеть персонал в более официальном стиле. Белые рубашки, на наш взгляд, смотрелсь бы куда лучше. И так же удивило отсутствие дресскода для посетителей. Конечно, в купальниках сюда не пускают, но короткие шорты и топы встречались очень часто и портили общую картину. Хотелось бы более строгих требований к посетителям, чтобы атмосфера поддерживалась, а не стиралась.
Ну и в завершении прикрепляю несколько фото меню (все яндекс не пускает), чтобы вы могли ознакомиться с ценами. Я долго искала какие-то наводки и нашла только за 2020 год, а с того момента цены сильно выросли))

The place is atmospheric, with a history. It's interesting to sit in an institution and imagine how balls used to be held here. We came here only because of this.
The kitchen was not impressed at all, some kind of ordinary food. I ordered a salad, grilled tongue and grilled vegetables too. The tongue wasn't bad, but it was just boiled, it didn't come into contact with the grill. The vegetables were cold for some reason, as if they had been cooked long before the order. The salad is ordinary. The deposit is 2000 rubles per person, but considering the price tag, it is not difficult to order for this amount. I did not like the position "10% service", while they additionally write in the receipt that you can leave a tip.
In general, the establishment is for one time.

My dear compatriots, I want to write a review about the Gagripsh restaurant, yesterday my husband and I visited this restaurant, to say that we are satisfied, this is not enough, we were delighted with the unusual atmosphere, beauty, waiters, everyone smiles, Pavel served us, tactful, polite, recommended good dishes to us, yes, it's expensive but it's worth it for those who want to come eat a pie and drink coffee, go to a cafe, there is no money, do not come here, who just wants to look, there is no museum here, and there is no passageway, so at the entrance they tell you that you need a dip, we came with a smile, and we were also greeted we have been to Abkhazia twice, dreamed that one day we would go to this restaurant, and we saved up and spent money without regret, what a wonderful cuisine here, everything is delicious, live music, violin, the whole evening after, I was impressed, thank you all!

I was there yesterday, I liked it. The staff is friendly, tactful and quick. The dishes were acceptable, served quickly. The entrance is democratic, shorts, colored T-shirts, flip-flops - the husband, in dresses and with hairstyles - ladies, in flippers I have not seen anyone))). The restaurant inside is very beautiful, you can make amazing shots. The building itself is in the process of reconstruction, and its not yet restored part gives its charm and zest.
As for the cuisine, nothing surprising: a personalized salad with bitter and black avocado and sour mango puree; chicken is two grilled chicken breasts, served without sauce, so it's a little dry; for dessert, an ordinary sponge cake with cream; the only thing that was delicious was royal khachapuri. The prices are unreasonably high.
