I visited Mir Castle for the first time in the summer of 2016. Our one-day bus tour consisted of visiting Mirsky and Nesvizh castles. This was enough for the first acquaintance. After 7 years, we decided to visit Mir Castle for a more detailed inspection, and spent the whole day here. The red and pink towers with tiled roofs against the blue sky simply captivated us. The castle looks impressive and solid. The purchased tickets allowed us to visit the expositions of the Northern Building of the castle, the Southwestern and Central Towers, and the prison basement. Walking around the area around the castle, you can take a lot of great photos.

The museum is very small and the exposition is weak, there is no point in running up the steep stairs of the towers, but it is very pleasant to walk around the territory. A cool place, we went from Minsk, then to Nesvizh, just to see these 2 palaces, I really liked it, we took a full-fledged tour, with a small one for 3 of us, something about 1,500 rubles came out, the castle is not very big, but there is something to see, by the way, I highly recommend the restaurant downstairs. Parking is free next to the lake, 7-10 minutes walk.

It's a very beautiful castle. Excellent restoration. Restorers have collected different eras of the castle's existence, and it's good, because the castle was first damaged back in 1812, and since then it has been restored. The last restoration was from the 1970s to 2010. The exposition corresponds to the epochs. A lot of new things, but well done.
The castle hotel is amazing. At 22 o'clock, the elevator is turned off ....
They advertise the backlight, but in fact there is very little of it. There are not enough parking spaces during the day, if you do not live in the castle hotel, then there is nowhere to put the car. There is a lot of space around, but there is not enough parking space for the residents of the hotel.

We arrived at the castle when the ticket office was already closed. They didn't get inside, but the entrance to the territory is free. At sunset, this castle is an exciting sight. You can walk along the bridge and admire it, towering over the water surface of the lake. To feed the ducks. Relax in the shade of the trees on a bench in the park and watch the sunset. When visiting the restaurant, sea buckthorn kvass is required for familiarization - the best kvass that I drank in Belarus. Otherwise, everything is very good. The hotel is located directly in the castle, you can go to a restaurant or on a guided tour in slippers. I recommend a 2-level suite from the rooms.

There is an opportunity to climb the towers by internal stairs, go down to the basement, to the wine cellar, to the underground prison. Children will also be interested. But it must be borne in mind that running up the fortress stairs requires a certain amount of physical activity. preparation and minimum excess weight. Large people simply will not fit into the narrow passages of the spiral staircases of the towers.
