A beautiful castle. If possible, book a quest, it's interesting enough and makes you think. The hardest part of the excursion program (and the quest too) this is going up and down in the tower, especially when you do it several times (your legs fall off, but I'm talking about myself). I recommend.

There are very few parking spaces, I had to stop right along the road. Disgusting impressions from the museum staff (the caretakers in the hall). Rude, irritated, tactless women. One of them took chips out of her pocket and, not being shy that people were around, ate calmly.
A la collective farm, not culture.
There are not many exhibits.
We wanted to eat after the museum in some stationary institution - we didn't find anything. All cafes and restaurants (there are a negligible number of them)they were closed for special maintenance. The only place to eat is a pancake tent right in the parking lot (((
A very advertised place that is not worth it. But at least once it's worth visiting there - after all, the place is historically significant and the nature is beautiful. Perhaps it's better to go on a weekday, maybe there will be fewer people. To go up to the tower or down, you need to stand in line for a huge amount of time.

Mir Castle is a magnificent place with a rich history. The castle itself and the territory leave the most pleasant impressions and give unforgettable emotions.
The whole castle is open to the public, each room has information with a historical reference. The inspection can be carried out independently or in a group with a guide. Performances and concerts are held in the courtyard. You can even order and become a participant in the quest.

Very atmospheric!!But it is advised to take an audio guide or a tour guide, and it is better to make an appointment in advance! When there are a lot of people , walking is not comfortable ! It takes a very long time to walk up the stairs, as they are narrow and designed for only 1 person

Mir Castle in Belarus, Mir settlement, Grodno region. About 90 km from Minsk
We were on an individual car tour, so we did not use alternative ways to get there.
The main part was built in the 15th century, something was completed later. The castle has now been restored. You can also walk inside the castle, you can do it yourself, you can buy an excursion conducted by the castle guide.
Inside there is a gift shop, toilets, a wardrobe. There is also a hotel in the castle itself.
Personally, I liked the castle, it is more restrained than other castles. It looks more like a Gothic fortress than a palace or castle. Inside, you can visit halls, basements, a former prison, climb the fortress wall. We were on New Year's holidays, the courtyard was beautifully decorated. There were a lot of people

During the trip to Belarus, it was a mandatory point to visit. We arrived on a day off in our car. There are very few parking spaces, but fortunately we were lucky. On a day off, we got to a short performance when they fired a cannon and fought with swords, it's a delight! Unfortunately, there are things in the exhibition that do not relate to the castle in any way, but nevertheless it is worth a visit.

The castle is beautiful and perfectly restored. But in my opinion it is very commercialized. There is a restaurant in the basement, next to the wardrobe. The food is delicious, but it takes a very long time to take out the dishes. If you have never been, definitely worth a visit.

The place is interesting . We had a group tour on Dec 29. in the afternoon, But the tour is 90% dependent on the guide (usually they are very enthusiastic people), we got a young man to guide us around the castle. Who announced in one of the halls that his daily wish was to finish the working day early. Accordingly, he conducted a tour of the 2nd floor and then sent our group to the 3rd floor to continue the inspection on their own. We went, but were surprised that guides went with other groups on the 3rd floor and told interesting stories....

It's a little expensive 16p. From an adult and 8p. With a child, a visit to the museum, but the nature of the castle itself and the free entrance to the interior is cool. Another disadvantage is that the catering infrastructure near the castle is not developed, stalls with hot dogs and semi-finished shawarma in complete unsanitary conditions and at the same time do not impress Belarusians or foreigners, including Russians, for an expensive price. Parking is small when tourist buses arrive, they block everything and the entrance and exit. In general, it's fine, but it was possible to organize everything much better.
