I will give 5 stars to this location just for the honor of Soviet people. But the staff in the museum was very unfriendly. I was there with my little son and the way they treated us was rude. Constantly following our steps. The staff is 1 star !

The museum is amazing. We went on a field trip with our child, which we were very happy about, because we learned a lot of new things. The scale of the exhibition is impressive, with tanks, an airplane and the legendary Katusha on the ground floor. A detailed account of the partisan movement and the concentration camps - at the same time you feel a sense of the greatest pride and the deepest sorrow. The Hall of Fame made the strongest impression on me - on a cloudy day, the moment we entered it, the sun came out, and the hall was illuminated with light, surrounding us with snow-white walls and golden letters on them. At that moment, I felt incredibly proud of my people, who had won this war.

The majestic museum building was erected in a landmark place of the Belarusian capital — next to the stele "Minsk — the hero City" - and is part of the Pobeda Museum and Park complex. The architecture of the building impresses with its scale and symbolism, it harmoniously combines monumentality and modern technology. The area of 10 exhibition halls is 4,200 square meters, where over 8 thousand exhibition materials are presented. The museum's funds consist of 30 collections and number over 155 thousand items of storage: photographs, documents, letters and personal belongings of participants of the Great Patriotic War. One of the business cards of the city of Minsk. Every Belarusian should visit here, especially the younger generation. And, of course, the guests of the capital will also be very interested.

A magnificent museum! I recommend visiting with an excursion. There are many valuable historical artifacts from the Great Patriotic War and beyond. The museum has more than 10 atmospheric halls. I liked the military equipment: IS-2, ME-109, I-16, etc. In the halls dedicated to the German occupation and the atrocities of the Nazis against the Soviet people, it was hard to hold back tears. The museum allows you to feel the severity of that war and learn a lot of historical facts. I recommend that everyone who will be in Minsk visit this museum.

A great museum! It is modern, with a large number of diverse exhibits, which are presented in a variety of ways: in traditional form, in the form of interactive installations and in the form of broadcasts of film fragments. The multi-level arrangement of the exhibits allows you to view objects from different angles. Young, energetic, interesting guides, with great zeal, conduct amazing excursions, sightseeing and thematic (Viktor Sergeevich worked with us, but we saw others in action), answer questions, express their point of view on certain events. We were very satisfied!

We were with children aged 6, 5 and 3.5 years old. The impressions are the best. The staff is attentive and friendly. They'll tell you everything. Interactive screens are present, you can sit down and watch old movie recordings. Banquettes and sofas are enough to take a break. Each room is dedicated to a period of the war, an event or a personality. There was a lot of equipment that attracted children's attention, musical or sound accompaniment could be heard from the speakers, "Katyusha" was playing unobtrusively in one of the halls and our kids sang along to it from the bottom of their hearts. A separate hall is dedicated to the international wars. Special attention should be paid to the exhibition of paintings by the artist Savitsky M.A. The canvases vividly tell about the horrors of concentration camps and fascism. Perhaps someone will say that such paintings are not for the child's psyche, but the younger one did not pay attention, but the older ones asked a huge number of questions, expressed their assumptions and versions, anxiety and regret were read in their eyes. By the way, the museum has a hall for children, classes are held there, but it operates according to its own separate schedule. We didn't manage to get in, but it certainly didn't spoil the experience! Thanks a lot to the museum! My son did not want to leave, although we walked there for more than 2.5 hours)

The Museum of the Great Patriotic War in Minsk is a place where history comes to life, and the heroism of the Soviet people appears in all its might. The museum's exposition is striking in its scope: there is a huge amount of both captured and domestic military equipment and weapons, which are carefully preserved and maintained in working order. Each hall of the museum is a separate chapter of history, telling about the exploits, self–sacrifice and courage of the Soviet people. Special attention is paid to the tragic pages of the occupation war, genocide, and the suffering of the civilian population. These exhibits do not just tell about the past, but make you feel it, realize the price of victory. The museum impresses with its atmosphere, thoughtful presentation of material and unique artifacts. It is equally interesting for both adults and children, leaving indelible impressions and arousing deep respect for the feat of our ancestors. I definitely recommend you to visit!

I visited the Museum of the Great Patriotic War in Minsk with my family on May 09. I was very impressed. The exposition is thought out to the smallest detail and allows for a deeper understanding of the events of those years. I was very touched by the real exhibits dedicated to the feat of Soviet soldiers. I was also impressed by the multimedia elements that make the perception of the story more vivid and emotional. I would like to mention separately the convenient location of the museum and the comfortable conditions for visitors, working exhibitions around the museum. I recommend that anyone who wants to learn more about the Great Patriotic War visit this museum. This place will not leave anyone indifferent!

The museum is large, bright, and has many exhibits: tanks, planes, cannons, etc. You should, of course, count on a long walk around the museum to see and read everything. We had limited time. Therefore, they passed quite quickly. But we were satisfied. We could park the car right next to the museum, but when we turned into the parking lot, we saw a no traffic sign. They decided that it was impossible to go there and parked the car on the next street. And there were plenty of parking spaces (as per the law of meanness). I marked the entrance in the photo with a circle.

It's a very nice museum. A magnificent exposition, wonderful exhibits and historical artifacts. Be sure to take or join the tour (just ask at the ticket office). There is one disadvantage: in some moments, the story is distorted towards the exploits of soldiers with Belarusian citizenship, which is what guides come across. But they can be forgiven for that. The museum is really good.

It is a very interesting museum that contains dioramas, equipment, and military exhibits. For a small amount, you can take part in a group sightseeing tour, which will quickly and interestingly run through the main exhibits in an hour. The gorgeous bright victory hall. And in general, they talk very worthily and interestingly about the role of the Belarusian people in the Great Patriotic War.

A very strong impression. I thought it would be a little boring for the children, as it often happens in museums, but here 4 hours flew by like a blink! The museum is huge, several floors, tanks, planes, cars, everything is real, full-fledged installations, with earth, grass, swamps, rails.. Unbelievable! Panoramas, sounds, layout of the Brest fortress.. We took a sightseeing tour, it flew by like a flash, although it lasted more than two hours. And then they went all over again from beginning to end. I definitely recommend it

It's a very impressive museum. The exposition is arranged in a circle, you climb to the top of the museum, along the way studying the history of the war specifically for the people of Belarus. Of course, it's more about the partisan movement, since Belarus was forced to be one of the first to be captured, and spent most of the war under occupation. About 3 million people died in Belarus alone, many cities were completely destroyed, the exploits of the Brest Fortress and Minsk (and other cities), the first partisan detachments ... no one will remain indifferent. A must-visit in Minsk.

Visited on 2.01.2025. The parking lot is small next to the museum, there was a place at 10.20. We watched the exhibition as part of a tour group at 10.30 a.m. It was the beginning. I was lucky with the guide, he told me everything very interestingly. I advise you to visit with children to better understand the horrors of war. Prices can be viewed on the website. On public holidays, it is better to arrive early, as there are many visitors.

The museum is magnificent, very impressive. Probably the most interesting museum in Minsk, which tells about the years of the Great Patriotic War and the struggle of the Belarusian and Russian people against the fascist invaders. The museum is, without a doubt, one of the best with a similar theme, absolutely everything is good in it: the wealth of exhibits, intelligent interactive, the unity and intent of the exposition, the building itself. Definitely worth a visit. There is a beautiful park nearby. There is a cafe at the museum, you can have a snack with the children, as it takes several hours to visit the museum.

Special thanks to Natalia Obukhova for the exposition of Hall No. 10, which tells about the internationalist wars of the USSR, who fought in all corners of the planet. There are many interesting facts that we have never heard of before. Many thanks for the reverent attitude towards people and our common history!!!

In addition, I would like to note that it is still worth visiting on weekends in order to have time to see and explore all the exhibits and exhibitions. I like the fact that the museum is being upgraded by adding the ability to use smartphones and virtual reality.

It's an amazing place! The Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War impresses with its detailed and careful attitude to some of the monstrous actions of the fascists on the territory of Belarus and in the USSR as a whole! All expositions are made with great attention to detail, filled with that terrible atmosphere of the horror of war and at the same time with immense respect for the Heroes and victims of the Great Patriotic War! Many thanks from the Muscovite for this magnificent place of Memory, which once again reminds us of what happened 85 years ago!

An interesting museum Visited the other day ( Attended on Sunday ) There were few people, they walked quietly and read everything. In my opinion, it was a bit boring, due to the fact that the equipment and other objects had their characteristics and nothing but them I would like to feel a little bit of history, the atmosphere of that time At the moment, there are a lot of interactive tablets and whiteboards that anyone can browse through (this is interesting) In general, I recommend Would you come back again? The museum is very modern, well equipped technically, the narrative is well read, full immersion in all the hardships of wartime. I highly recommend combined excursions, I was lucky to get on such a tour guide Victoria, knows the material perfectly, the story comes to life in her words. In an hour and a half, I felt the huge emotional effect of the museum objects combined with the tour - it seemed to me that every listener could barely hold back tears, especially in the halls about the occupation regime. On the downside, I didn't really understand why there are no discounts for visiting graduate students. But in general, of course, a regular ticket is not expensive at all. I definitely recommend you to visit.

It was done well. There are many halls in memory of the tragedy of the war and in memory of the heroes. I like that you can interact with tank-type exhibits a little bit, not just look at them from the outside. An interesting solution with mannequins: it enlivens the expositions. The feeling of immersion in history. I especially liked that the last, uppermost hall is dedicated specifically to victory. The hall is very bright. And the heaviness on the chest after the previous ones relieves a little, because it reminds not only of the horror, but also of the bright moments of the Great War.

An important recommendation is to visit the museum with a tour group (there is a schedule). The guide's story will leave deep impressions. A full-scale picture of what the Belarusian and Russian people had to go through during the war will open up before you. Everyone should definitely know this.
