It's a very cool place, it's a pity that not all buildings are available for visiting. We were in Stalin's dacha itself. Female guides like a tape recorder tell the same story every 15 minutes standing motionless in one of the rooms) An entrance ticket and an excursion of 500 rubles. it seems, plus 50 for entering the territory itself. It's funny, there's no special information, but it's enough for a casual acquaintance) It was very interesting to walk around the territory, thickets, devastation and riddles, it would be possible to conduct very cool excursions if desired, there are plenty of mystics there) but there are none)) A beautiful view from the observation deck, Stalin's cat, with its solidity denoting its own fundamentality inside this place... It took us 1.5 - 2 hours to explore this place.
I definitely recommend this cottage for a one-time visit!

A gorgeous place! It's so simple, but still atmospheric, especially for history buffs like me and my boyfriend!
The minus for which you took off the star, one is the guide(s)? We paid for the ticket, went and looked around the halls. At some point, they decided to go into another hall, and there are people sitting there, a woman is standing, leading a tour. They immediately tell us from the threshold "exit through the balcony!", we answer that we are not going out. "Are you on a guided tour?" (with a claim) - "No, just to see" - "Then take a quick photo and go."
Well, no. I paid a dime, I'll look at exactly what I'm interested in. The lady guide was silent for 5-10 seconds of our calm inspection (and general silence). The young man left, and I went to look at the sideboard located at the other end of the hall. The lady guide said with displeasure and rudely: "You can wait until the tour is over and come back later." I'm a non-confrontational person, but I answered honestly (hinted to her, yeah): "I do not know how long the tour will end, so I cannot wait. You can talk, I'm not listening." I reached the sideboard, took a couple of photos (there was crystal there like in my grandmother's closet, all the decorations were very well chosen (or maybe Stalin also had those crystal salad bowls there :)), I was going to go out. One of the guides sitting around decided to clarify that "We are listening, girl." I replied that it was wonderful, I was not bothering them, listen to your health. After that, I went out and, as requested, closed the door behind me.
The story turned out to be interesting and incomprehensible. Message: for the first time I see a tour guide who so zealously does not want to talk in the presence of other people (= who did not pay). It's her right. But she is an employee of this place and one of its representatives. Why couldn't you say everything politely so that it was a request, like, please wait three minutes, we'll finish the tour and you can come in and see everything. No, you have to talk to me like I'm breaking into private territory. I don't accept such things, it's unprofessional to think that I, as a museum visitor, owe someone something.
Otherwise, the place is very cool, the visit is inexpensive, so I advise you to visit!

A very beautiful place, the view from the gallery is amazing! The cottage itself is quite modest. Now it has a dilapidated appearance, but maybe that's the beauty of it. The tour is interesting, but short, it was quite possible to see on your own. It was difficult to take pictures because of the large number of tourists. It's another thing when I got there early in the morning. The cottage itself is closed and there is not a soul around! You can take a quiet walk and feel the atmosphere of the place.

We walked on our own, on foot to Stalin's dacha in New Athos, the road is interesting, there is a bamboo grove and fruit plants, and what kinds.. The cottage itself is very colorful and interesting from the point of view of architecture, but!, the buildings are not being restored, in some places repairs are already required (especially where wooden floors and floors), otherwise a few more years and everything will collapse, they are allowed to enter (having bought the operation) only one building (and there only a few rooms), and there are 4 or 5 of them on the territory. Gorgeous views save the situation (especially from the terrace and gazebo).

An interesting place. Beautiful views open from the balcony of the second floor. Entrance is paid as everywhere in Abkhazia, not only is it paid not only to the house itself, but you also need to pay at the checkpoint for entering the territory. In the house itself, you can only enter the rooms on the second floor, the first floor can be viewed through the windows. Although paid tours are conducted in the building, no one wants to invest and restore the building. Why not bring the whole building to a satisfactory appearance remains a mystery, but there are a lot of abandoned buildings in Abkhazia. The musty smell of the old building is clearly felt through the open windows of the first floor. The guide, who is also the cashier at the entrance, will tell the story of the house in five minutes and send the whole crowd of tourists to photo shoots in open rooms.

Nature and the building are just a magnificent sight, breathtaking from the construction made back in the USSR, from the remains of fountains, roads, lanterns, ... BUT the condition of all this is simply deplorable!!! This is a question for the administration! How can you launch such an attraction like that, because the whole country is traveling, there is a flow of tourists. A big request, even a plea: allocate funds already for the restoration and support of attractions! You have so many of them in your beautiful Abkhazia

A great place for wedding photos, landscape photos and generally feel a little bit of the era. It is located a little away from the monastery, the entrance is 50 meters into the territory. They weren't inside. But behind the house there are stunning views of the valley, all covered with a single plant, such as grapes... By autumn, the reddish shades just amazingly shine through all this! Plus the architecture of the buildings. Some kind of phantasmagoria!

It is not as difficult to get to Stalin's other dachas in Abkhazia on your own. The balcony offers a magnificent view of the Black Sea coast.
Admission with a guided tour cost 300 rubles. Speaking of the tour, it lasted no more than 2 minutes. The guide, an elderly lady with a wand, told about the materials of the doors, crystal windows, the height of the ceilings and how often Stalin himself came to the country. Then we went alone to inspect the rooms.

I went to Abkhazia for the second time on a tour. For the first time, everyone chose to visit the temple (I do not remember which one) and did not get to Stalin's dacha. Two and a half years later, my husband and I went on a much-vaunted tour. The guide, to put it mildly, was overrated. I don't remember my name. A handsome man, but with terrible speech defects. Does not pronounce letters and confuses endings. It's unpleasant to listen, but not about that. We arrived at the cottage. The views, of course, are excellent. The General's quarters, beautiful landscapes and sea views. They charge 300rubles for the tour. What it includes: a five-minute monologue from a museum employee and her indifferent "go, take a picture, don't touch it with your hands." The staff is sitting in the lobby, making mistakes with the guides, and you're walking by yourself.They didn't give me a walk around the territory either, the guide was always in a hurry. In general, the impressions are not the best.

The summer residence of I.V. Stalin in New Athos is in a very deplorable condition. We arrived on our own, there were no tourists or tour groups, we asked for an individual tour, and for the appropriate payment we were refused! They offered to go through the rooms open to the public on their own, or wait for an excursion group to arrive. We examined it ourselves, took pictures, asked to briefly tell the story of this Cottage, also received a refusal and advice that everything can be read on the Internet. Extremely unfriendly staff!

The facility is in terrible condition. As they say, there would not have been such stuff under Stalin. There are several rooms available in the cottage itself, and they require renovation. Moreover, they charge 300 rubles for the "excursion". The employee talks for 5 minutes, then says: "go, look, take a picture." Get off me. They're probably collecting for reconstruction. The lower floor of the cottage is simply collapsing. 2 buildings nearby are overgrown, as if there were some kind of pests inside. It's not even worth going in. Moreover, they charge 50rubles for entering the territory.

Employees who collect money are rare boors. They sit in a crowd of people, cross-legged, chatting among themselves, and until they start yelling at you, you won't even realize that they are employees. After the walk, we witnessed how they beat up an incoming woman, and in response to a remark asking them to behave more politely, they continued to shout with the claim that this woman did not even greet them at the entrance. Nonsense. They behave like housewives. Angry, loud. It's a very unpleasant aftertaste.
But about the cottage itself. Entrance to the territory is 50 rubles per person. An inspection of the cottage without an excursion - 200 rubles. We visited a couple of rooms and an office. It's not interesting. There is scant furniture, somehow filling the room. Naked, sad. The Ritz is much more interesting. The lower floor is closed to the public. All you can see through the windows is a billiard table and a lot of junk and complete ruin.
The territory - if only the sea view. It may be worth a visit, but it's everyone's business here. We were disappointed.

This is not even an excursion - you give 250 rubles just to see a few rooms in a ramshackle building, whose historical origin as Stalin's dacha is in great doubt. The three aunts who collect money for admission are not given any ticket, receipts, brochures - nothing, they are just very busy discussing the series they are watching. Everything in this place is in the deepest desolation and ruin.

Everything is closed except for one building itself!
When they began to walk around him, the girl injured her leg because of the bowl of bushes, she did not notice the concrete side! Then 2-3 more people got hooked!
In general, the impressions are spoiled by landscaping!
The bushes are not mowed, the paths are not well maintained!
There is no first aid kit!!!!

The cottage was built in the 20-30s of the 20th century. Stalin often visited. It is now in a neglected state. There are guided tours. You can get there on foot uphill from Mount Athos, by taxi. There is a beautiful view around, but everything is overgrown, there used to be a garden. It can be combined with a visit to the New Athos Monastery, everything is nearby.

It was in the evening, there was nothing to do... i.e. During the rest in New Athos, we went for a walk. We walked past the waterfall, the church of Simon the Canonite, the olive grove, the New Athos Monastery to Stalin's dacha. No one asked for any money along the way, the cottage was closed. We looked out the windows, climbed around... There is devastation inside, incredible beauty around. If it's free, I recommend it, if for money, then there are many similar species in Abkhazia.
The walk was a success, we went back another way - we went down the winding road to the embankment, walked through the Seaside Park, took khachapuri in Khachapurnaya and went home. The whole walk took two hours.

It's a terrible experience. The guides are rude and shout at the tourists. The bed of the Leader was covered with a blanket from Alik))). I'm not lying. It took me a long time to come to my senses from such trash. Dirt and ruin. There's nothing to do there. What do they charge 350 rubles for? I can't even sweep the floor on the balcony. The impression is strange, we were at the cottage on the cold river before , there is a clean , well-maintained house , there is no ruin, polite staff, conducted individual excursions , in general there was no complaint , we decided to visit this historical institution.
The building is in ruins, in the windows ( where they are not allowed ) you can see the collapsed ceiling on a gorgeous billiard table , dust , cobwebs, and inscriptions on dust on the crystal glasses Moscow 2023, the territory is almost completely closed, guest houses are closed, we were not even allowed into the house.
Yes, there are many group excursions, we understand, once we went in, they said to wait until they were finished and that from the next one we (two people without a tour) would be able to go in, the second time they say the same thing, for another 15 minutes, the staff themselves just sit on the sofas at the entrance, as a result, it did not work out on their own.
The sea view is beautiful :)
