A great place for children and adults. A huge territory, easy navigation, there is a dolphinarium, a bison farmstead, terrariums. Catering is well established-varied, fast, tasty and not at exorbitant prices. Clean toilets with soap, hot water. The animals themselves are cheerful, well-fed, friendly. I recommend it!!! Across the road, you can have lunch at the Tradition Cafe.

I really liked the zoo with the children. Food for ungulates and birds was bought at the entrance, the children enthusiastically fed the animals. The pavilions with fish and reptiles are not very large, but the Orinoco pavilion makes an impression. But the most exciting thing is the Dinopark. The teenage son said that only for the idea you need to put a five. Although the sensors on dinosaurs need to be improved: they are not sensitive everywhere and generally work.

About the wonderful zoo in Minsk. We are absolutely delighted!!!!
Lots of animals, all well-groomed, well-fed, very sociable.
The brown bear gave us a whole show, he's still an artist!!!
Zebras, alpacas, goats and the sea of ungulates are happy to communicate with visitors.
Surprisingly, a stork built a nest on top of a cage with birds. I picked up a great place.😉
And we also happened to be at the birth (lambing) of a goat. The children are a little shocked, they were very worried about the wet babies, but they saw with what love the goat takes care of its offspring.
There are several lions in the zoo. Ooh, what a roar there was from one, a very talkative little friend.
The exotarium is beyond praise. A very cozy place, from which I did not want to leave at all.
There are a lot of emotions, everyone is very cool!

We are from Gomel, we have been to the Grodno zoo a couple of times and have now reached Minsk.
The zoo is large, there is a shaking aquarium (part in the photo), there are many animals, well-groomed and so on.
Why I took off 2 stars.
- not adults, not a child does not want to return (we compare it with Grodno, and Minsk should be a cut above in quality, but no).
- we were in the heat (kvass, beer, there is food and dolphins), there are few trees, the territory is very large and open (sample in the photo).
- there is not enough information about animals, do not enter the signs - it will bite off (there was a technique, apparently partially repaired), but this is not in that part.
- animals are not arranged for easy viewing (predators, horned, etc.)
- some animals have gorgeous conditions (parrots, fish, bears with pools and .., and some are right in the same building in such small cages ...
And when the sun is in the afternoon, where there is glass, animals are not visible at all (monkeys and ..)
The zoo is good, I'm afraid, but my hand does not rise to put more, little things but ...

By itself, the zoo creates good conditions of detention (relative to zoos, of course, it can never be compared with the natural environment), aviaries are not just cages, and they are not bad decorated for the landscape... cells (though not all of them). For everything that has horns or hooves, a pen is smaller than a wolf - a cage with some additions, such as toys, houses, trees, grass, stones; everything that is larger or = wolf - fairly spacious cages, with stones, artificial mountains, larger trees, etc. (this applies to mountain goats, which there are a lot of big cats and a bear that I haven't seen). It is possible to smell the "smell" of animals quite rarely, that the cleaning is excellent. There is an exoterrarium for birds (there are scaly ones, fish, etc.), in which (I suppose only some) can move freely, there is water flowing, and mountains, and a lot of everything, beautiful, but cramped.
In winter, animals of warm climates are put in aviaries, for example, this happens with servals. And everything would be fine, but the size of the room is 5 by 5 servals, and they have to wait out the cold for at least 4 months, it's sad. And okay servals - there are two of them, right to the right of them sits Oncilla (sort of), alone, in a 5 by 5 serval cage. There's a table in the rooms, toys, servals even have a stump, cool.
Some animals just rush from side to side: a lynx runs along the enclosure, a fox turns endless circles along the walls, caracals - one runs, the other just stares at the wall without moving, a lion walks along the iron bars, and it's all endless, every minute, every hour. I don't expect them to sing and dance to me, but this situation is very disturbing, because what else can they do, their territory is 20 by 20 meters at best, what haven't they seen there yet and where haven't they been?
There is such a function - to take care of an animal, i.e. monthly payments. This function is divided into several types depending on the amount, and offers as a substitute:
- Guardian's Certificate
- A name for the pet being cared for
- A name for his offspring
- Tickets for several people or even excursions
- And the funniest thing is, the sign on the aviary ... "Thank you so-and-so for your help...", imho, the only thing worse can be a post on the social network, about how well done you are. Happiness (in this case, goodness) loves silence.
- Etc.
Unfortunately, I did not find any checks to be sure that the animal receives an additional one. care for this money and bills do not gather dust in big uncle's pocket.

I've heard a lot about them saving species from extinction, but to be honest, I don't believe it at all. How can an animal get better in captivity, being locked up in 4 walls? No matter what the "cameras" are: big, small - they can never be compared with the territories that nature gives them. To do this, populations are protected in their natural environment, rather than creating a concentration camp for them.
Yes, people will lose the only way to see animals live, or even touch them (a separate kind of animal husbandry). But is it nice when you exist just to be looked at and clicked on by cheap smartphone cameras? If the animals are wild, then they belong in the wild, not in a cage.
This is not the worst torture chamber for animals, and it is not a problem of the zoo management, but of the legislation as a whole. Zoos are a relic of the past, if you want to look at an animal, watch documentaries or read in open and free sources - there is a lot of information.

I liked the zoo. The animals, however, were sleepy in the heat. But they look healthy. There is a contact area, cute little animals. Clean, lots of cafes. I liked the performance of sea animals in the dolphinarium. I didn't go to the Dino Park, at my age it's no longer interesting, but I think the children will like it, such big guys, you can see from afar. In general, I am satisfied.

I am pleased with the condition of all animals. Zoos are loved by children who love animals, but not by adults who also love animals - the simple truth is, but here it does not feel so vividly. To each aviary, to each piece of land, there is a huge attention of the staff (I saw a young man feeding and cleaning the porcupines aviary; and young women weeding flower beds; and many other zoo workers) - all with smiles, diligent, neat. It is very expensive, but when work is fun, it turns out exactly the result that is visible in the Minsk Zoo. It was very nice to visit you! And, of course, it was great to see an updated aviary of bison, a bird's yard on the water, and many other innovations - after all, I was with you for the first time back in 2014. Thank you for the cleanliness, for the renovation, for the work! I recommend you to visit.

In general, the impression is excellent with small comments on the cleanliness of the enclosures and the condition of some animals (poultry house, small predators).
There are a lot of animals, there is something to see. Super bear, tiger, parrots, fish, snakes. Most of the animals are good. Also a very well-groomed and very sociable local cat.
Children like everything, especially feeding children with paid food for 2 rubles. Carrots and potatoes in a glass. But these 2 rubles were worth it. If you bring the washed carrots yourself, it should be a ride.
There is a toilet.
We didn't have the show with us. We didn't go to the dolphinarium.
At the entrance, they sell glasses with carrots and potatoes for 2 rubles. The children are happy.
The ticket costs 15 bel.rubles even for children.
There doesn't seem to be a cafe there, or we didn't find one.
In general, it is a great entertainment with children for 2-3 hours.

Great zoo! Everything is quite compact and conveniently placed. The pavilion with exotic animals is generally a fire, there are such fish that I have never seen in my life and it is very beautiful inside the pavilion. The dinosaur park is impressive, the size of the dinosaurs is huge, plus the sound effects.

The zoo is very pleasant! It's small, unlike in Moscow, but that's a plus. We were with children 7 and 1.7 years old. The elder liked it very much. The younger one liked it too, but of course not everything. It is interesting and not tedious, all the main animals are there, there are picturesque places for beautiful photos. I liked the show at the dolphinarium, but there is one thing. The performance was delayed for 15 minutes (the performance itself is 30) and with young children it is critical. This spoiled the impression, the younger one got tired of waiting and already refused to watch the performance.

One of the best places for a family pastime. The kids are just thrilled. Further in the text for those who will pay for all this pleasure :)
1. THE ENTRANCE.
There is a beautiful huge parking lot and not far from it there is a second entrance to the zoo + immediately at this entrance and the dinopark itself. There is practically no queue here, unlike the central ticket office. However, there is A CAVEAT. If you also buy tickets to the dolphinarium, it will be more profitable to go to the main entrance, where they will cost less (slightly, only a couple of rubles per ticket) (xs how it works). You can pay with MIR and Belarusbank cards throughout the zoo (cafes, attractions, ticket purchases, etc.).
2. FEED.
If you are going to buy a lump for animals, then consider one point, it is sold here with a margin of about X10. So here's a tip for you. Go to the store in front of the zoo and buy food yourself (carrots, apples, cabbage, turnips, dried without additives), I bought apples and a couple of markovins. Out of harm's way, I put all this away in a children's rucksack.
3. DOLPHINARIUM.
It's a very cool place. I definitely recommend a visit! Not only children will enjoy the performance, even our grandmother was delighted. However, take into account the time of the performances themselves (at the time of our visit, the performances were at 12.00, 15.00, 18.00). The entrance is opened about 15 minutes before the start. The performance itself goes on for 40 minutes. Also in the dolphinarium, you can take pictures with dolphins and even swim with them, although you will have to pay extra for this (before the performance, the trainers themselves held a lottery for 25 rubles for the opportunity to win all this and if you want to test your luck, take cash with you, you will not pay with a lottery card) + if you swim, you need a swimsuit or swimming trunks. Photographing takes place after the presentation, you will have to wait 15-20 minutes for the photo (A4 format on photo paper) or take a picture with your camera or phone (accordingly, you do not need to wait).
4. FOOD.
There are a couple of cafes on site. There were hot dogs, pancakes, French fries, water, juices, sodas, ice cream and many other things, but I kind of named the main thing from the food.

The territory is not very large, it's a long way to go from Independence Avenue, but you can take a taxi 10 rubles.
According to the cost of tickets, it is expensive, but if it goes to the maintenance of such beautiful animals, then it is possible.
