Our recent visit to the Minsk Zoo was a real discovery for us. We were amazed by the variety of animal species, many of which we met for the first time. There was food for feeding animals at the entrance to the zoo, and we were happy to buy carrots and dried fruits. Feeding the llamas with carrots was especially fun and amusing. We also enjoyed treating different birds to dries, observing their preferences.
The territory of the zoo was large and well maintained, which made it possible to move comfortably between the enclosures. The enclosures were spacious and clean, which spoke of the zoo staff's concern for the animals. Some of the animal species, such as the African elephant, reindeer and Amur tiger, especially impressed us.
In general, our visit to the Minsk Zoo was filled with positive emotions and a lot of interesting impressions. We will be happy to come back here again! :)

A great place to spend your free time, regardless of age. Children will be delighted (adults will not be left without emotions either). I recommend setting aside at least half a day for a visit. Time flies by unnoticed. I recommend visiting the dolphinarium (a lot of positive emotions and a flurry of impressions and a positive mood are provided).
Take into account the weather forecast (especially if the sun is shining), There is not much place to hide in the shade.

A very cool zoo! Small, but cozy. There are a lot of animals, they are in close enclosures - you can come closer and look at them. The pavilion with amphibians, fish and exotic animals is super!! It's not a bad place to spend time with your family.
The advantages of the zoo and dolphinarium.
The Dino Park did not meet expectations a bit in terms of acoustic accompaniment (voice acting) and the lack of normal footpaths (it is problematic to drive with a stroller).
The toilets were also upset (at the time of the visit there were bio, I still did not understand the main one, either under repair or just under construction) ... 4 out of 5.

It was the first time I was in such a place: it was made of several levels and zones, with interesting transitions. Macaws move quietly inside this space, fish swim in an outdoor pool, a huge python Kaa lies behind the glass, and a turtle rides on the cayman.

There is a normal toilet in the exotarium, the rest are bio-cabins without water on the territory. Several cafes, sooo delicious crispy Draniki and berry tea, we drank sea buckthorn. Admission is free for the disabled and accompanying person, as well as a ticket of 12 Belarusian rubles.

A good place to relax with children, at first it seemed expensive to me, but after the inspection I changed my mind. Although for children under 10 years old, half the price could be done. The territory is large, there are a lot of animals, there are places to eat, and there are actually a lot of places, especially in the back of the zoo closer to the main entrance, you should not queue near the dolphinarium. It is better not to go to lunch, especially if it is hot and a lot of animals are resting.
I didn't like that all the buildings have an icon that you can't use baby strollers, especially they let us through to the exotarium, of course, they explained this by the fact that there is not enough space! But in fact, there is enough space there, everything is thought out for the disabled and it is very interesting. Therefore, dear administration, why do you limit people with young children and think for them? They will decide for themselves where they are cramped, such as in a terrarium (the building of which should have been completely given over to the toilet a long time ago, and reptiles should build a new one), and where is normal! Believe me, they themselves will not go with the baby to a place where it is cramped and stuffy!

If you go up from the entrance (along the left path), then at first you feel that you will not see anything special (we were in April, when many animals are in winter apartments), but this is not the case. There are excellent aviaries with lamps, birds, and predatory animals hidden in the depths, and the covered pavilion of South America is a must-visit. My favorite is zebras, which can be fed if you go to the right side of their enclosure.
There were not many people, the animals look well-groomed, even the street cats on the territory are plump and walk impressively along the paths.

And if he swallows the pieces?! Think about it, he's alive too) The cages are not all cleaned, there is a lot of dirt, and they are also small. I would combine the empty cells and make them bigger. One animal (I don't remember which one) was generally away from everyone, that's where the building with parrots and monkeys inside is, there is only one aviary under it. The animal lies in the shade, with the weather at +22 degrees, there is a constant shadow from the building and it is very cold. There was not a single lamp in the animal's enclosure, I wanted to cry looking at it. Think of an animal! You can see that they feed well, all the animals are well-fed, they definitely do not starve)) Otherwise, everything is not bad

I didn't want to spoil my mood, but I had a great desire to send them and write a complaint to the management of the Dolphinarium. The performance itself lasts 30 minutes, 15 minutes of the "coach" advertise additional purchases - 25 bel.rubles.

Surprisingly, the zoo has a very small territory, and a small number of animals. We expected to take a longer walk here, but ... the location is also strange, far from the main tourist avenues. But these are my quibbles. To be fair, it is very clean here, and there are no smells, like in the St. Petersburg Zoo. A separate respect that there is a dolphinarium on the territory! I really liked the trainers, most likely a husband and wife. We did a great show with dolphins and a sea lion, the children and parents were delighted!
