He joined a group of speleologists who discovered the first hall of the New Athos Cave at a depth of 135 m.The volume of the karst cavity is approximately 1 million m3, the height of the arches reaches 50-70 m. There are underground lakes in the cave, frozen stone waterfalls forever.

Taking a train ride before the start of the excursion route is an interesting journey, especially for children. We have visited similar caves in several countries. The New Athos caves are much larger. Some of the halls are huge, and the lakes are also beautiful. There are very few stalactites, stalagmites, and even more so stalagmites. And they stand alone, illuminated... I recommend a mandatory visit. Payment in cash. I advise you to come in the morning, then there is a high probability of getting to the next session in the season. We got on the tour 10 minutes after buying the ticket. We arrived at 10 a.m.

It's not that it's very cold downstairs (-14), but it's better to dress the children after the heat.
There is a separate tent at the entrance, vacuuming for 50 rubles per photo shoot. They were not fined, but there is also no queue for the opportunity to take pictures, unlike the main ticket office. Stand in it from 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Novo Athos cave. The only disadvantage is buying a ticket at the ticket office. There is only one cash register. There is a very large flow of applicants. You can open two more cash desks, otherwise the queue stretches into a "long snake". People are standing under the sun. Or make some kind of canopy. The impression of the tour is the best. Thanks a lot to the tour guide. 1.5 km has been covered, but at the same time it passed in one breath and you just don't notice the distance thanks to the story and the beauty of the cave.

Stand in line for at least an hour and it is not known if there will be any tickets left. And if it stays, then somewhere you need to walk 3.5 hours before your time. Everything is very poorly organized. They turned around and drove away.

There are several lakes in the cave, beautiful stalactites and stalagmites, and bats can be seen. I recommend taking a jacket to visit, because the cave has only 14 degrees and high humidity. The longest pedestrian bridge has been built in the cave. And there is also a blue lake, very deep. It is difficult to get into the cave on your own, there are very long queues. First of all, tour groups that have a pre-arranged reservation are allowed to pass. The cost of admission for adults is 700 rubles, children under 8 years old are free of charge. For photography, you need to pay 50 rubles. separately at the cash desk to the left of the entrance. Blankets can also be rented to visit the cave.
