The cave is just very beautiful and big, a great tour. It is very cool to dress warmly or take a plaid at the entrance, but it is paid. You don't have to pay for the photo shoot, no one asked us for a paid ticket. The impression is very spoiled by comrades navyashevo offering paid parking with threats that you will be rented rooms. Only cars with Abkhazian license plates can park anywhere.

The organization of ticket sales and the entire nearby infrastructure are terrible. Well, isn't it possible to make three working cash desks instead of one, you can't put an air conditioner in the hallway, organize a normal parking lot? There was an impression that after the cave was opened to the public (in 1975), no innovations occurred.

There is a large queue at the ticket office outside the street, which flows into one at the top, so I advise you not to queue at the bottom near the road, but to climb the steps and take a queue there a little higher. Save a lot of time. A train takes people directly to the cave according to the time according to the tickets purchased at the ticket office. I will not say that this cave is better than the Kungur ice cave. Maybe only the passages are more monumentally equipped. The tour lasts about 1 hour and 20 minutes. and the guide tells you quite interestingly, gives you time to take pictures and consider everything.

This is something incredible, this cave is the second largest in the world, as for me it is the most important sights of Abkhazia the entrance costs 700 rubles. the scale is so huge that you go down to the cave by train, you cannot convey any photos, no videos, you need to see it with your eyes, I highly recommend visiting.

First they take you to the subway, then they walk through the halls with a guide. The guide can be heard well, there is a backlight. The cave did not impress us, since we are from the Urals and we have many "wild" caves. But as a one-time entertainment, you can go. However, the queue for the ticket was held for 21.5 hours in the heat, and then the entrance was given after 2 hours only. But according to the locals, it's still fast 😁

The impression was spoiled by the fact that tickets are given for sessions, you have to wait to recruit people. But the carriages of the train and the station lifted the mood. We got to the right stop very quickly, from where the tour starts. Check the schedule before placing the cave. It was the first time we came in vain, but we took a walk up the trail, among the houses and seals. And in general, memory recorded the tour as worthy. And yes, it doesn't hurt to put on warm sweaters or jackets).

It would be better to have the opportunity to walk quickly without an excursion. The tour itself is interesting, but it turned out to be very long. We have to wait for everyone all the time, and if there are power outages on the day, then it's better not to come, we were 2.5 -3h instead of 1h 20 min. It's very cold, I don't know how the children stood it. The generators are weak, they don't save you for long.

It's very beautiful, there are lights everywhere, national music is playing, the paths are slippery in places, wear comfortable shoes. Be sure to take a sweater. There were no queues, the ticket cost 600 rubles. It is necessary to travel a little underground by train to the cave itself. I advise you to go. We arrived on the tour on our own from Gagra, we reached it ourselves, everything is clear and not far away.

Getting into the caves on your own is already a victory! The queue is huge, the guides are streaming, out of turn. "I took a ticket and went in " not about the caves, I took a ticket at 13.00 at 17.40, maybe, but you can stand in line and find out that there are no tickets for today.
We were lucky, the queue was defended and there were no tickets, but suddenly the cashier yelled that there were two tickets for now, 700 rubles. from a person and we got there.

The cave in New Athos. They were at the end of February 2024. Tickets are 500 rubles. Children under 7 years old are free of charge. The temperature inside the cave and outside was almost the same. About 10-12°. Tickets started selling at 10 a.m. Excursions start at a certain time (in our case at 12.00). Small trailers are brought to the cave itself. About 40 people. Inside, the paths are damp, I recommend shoes without heels. There are 5 halls, in each the guide stops and tells the details (the history of the origin, about insects living in the cave, etc.) Beautifully (colored lighting), damp (100%humidity), monumental. Inside is the longest underground bridge in the WORLD. Crystal stones are sold as souvenirs in one of the halls. There is a deep underground lake.
Among the disadvantages: due to the large number of people, it is uncomfortable and crowded at some venues. The attendant gives little time to look around.

What I would like to change: firstly, the groups are large, about 80 people, and not everyone has time to hear the guide, because so far everyone will catch up..... And the very time of visiting the cave is limited, but I would like to stay longer, to examine. But if you lag behind, the lights are turned off in the halls so that you don't hang out there alone and God forbid you don't get lost))))) Of the minuses: the toilet is paid, money is taken for the opportunity to take pictures, although no one checks, blankets are rented for a fee. But by the way, it's not so cold there to wrap up in a plaid +14 degrees, it's quite thermo and in shorts with a T-shirt. I recommend you to visit.

It's a great place. It's cool, you can take insulation with you, especially if you are afraid for the children. But in general, it is quite possible to walk in ordinary summer clothes.
It probably takes about an hour for the whole walk. By train at the beginning and at the end of 5-10 minutes each.
Calcites sold inside are, of course, cheaper at the souvenir outlet. But if the child needs the memory of the cave, why not buy it right there.
If you can sing, great! You will have a chance to show your vocal talent.
